*Each stage was accompanied by a hand pick wine. *Cheese plater *House soup that was flavorful and enjoyed. Homemade. *Main course: The only identified spoiler I'm going to share, it was lamb. It was marvelous! Tender, mild & savoury! Here's my secret: I usually hate (yes, Hate.) lamb. This was bone chewing worthy! *Dessert was sumptuous. Appropriately portioned and fully... More

A great steak tartare. Other menu offerings are classic. Wine list is lacking mid range price points. Low range and high range represented well but no choice in between. That being said prepare to pay for a good bottle of wine and then enjoy the steak tartare. Service is great. Been here a few times and consistently good.

TZTZ28 thank you for your review. Excellent choices with what you ordered. The steak Tatar is certainly a great dish made to order with fine quality steak. I have worked here since the beginning and still get cravings for it! In regards to the renos, it's certainly a mixed bag of comments we receive. A lot of our customers, old... More

My husband, son and I tried this restaurant for the first time and it was really good. Staff was friendly and the food was really good. Only down side was the price of the dessert we had. $15 and it was not even big enough for 1 person.

Hello Mona123a, Thanks for your feedback about The Continental Treat. Which dessert did you try as we have plenty more to choose from ... We are always looking to improve our restaurant in regards to small renos within the building, however have certain restrictions which we have to abide with so can only do so much. Two of us had the special of the day - Pork Schnitzel with mashed potates and the other had the Chicken William with Shrimp. All three meals tasty, ample and beautifully plated. Try the Cosmopolitans - the expert at the table said they were the best in the city. But forgo the Ceasars. French Onion soup to start was cheesey... More

Good Day Dianej817, Thanks for dining with us and for the lovely comments :) Curious as to why you would forgo the Ceasars? Too spicy maybe? I too would encourage our guests to take a walk down Whyte Ave after a meal at The Continental Treat to help with digestion! Good call! Looking forward to having you back again! Cheers...Sly More

Very nice lunch. Made reservations- thought for an anniversary lunch it would have been a better table instead of right next to the kitchen. Service was good, meal was yummy! They allow substitutions- had spatzel as the side. Snitzel was one of the best I have had! The bread basket is ok but butter was FROZEN.

Ooppps about the butter Corimarnell. :( Nothing worse than getting fresh bread and cold butter.. Apologies. I appreciate your kind words and thank you for celebrating your anniversary with us! Good idea about making reservations though and substitutions (within reason) are never an issue with us! Thank you again and hope to see you again before your next anniversary! Cheers...... More

This is one of my favourite restaurants in Edmonton. The atmosphere is charming; the staff are friendly and professional, and the European cuisine is some of the best I have ever tasted. From the dill pickle soup to the wild mushroom and sauerkraut perogies and the pork schnitzel complete with spaetzle...it is a culinary treat to dine there.

Four of us went here for dinner in December 2016 and we quite enjoyed it. The schnitzel was very good (but not as good as Bistro Praha), and it was nice to have beer served in a proper beer glass. The service was fairly good, although we found we were waiting at times - this might be by design (perhaps... More

Hi Rennurmk, Thanks for reviewing us. You would be correct in noting that we like to give our diners time to enjoy their meals as good food and company should not be rushed when possible. I'm hoping you come back at some point to enjoy the many other European based items we serve besides our schnitzel.. I'm sure you will... More

The Continental Treat Restaurant is a family affair. Two generations of the Borowka Family work together to bring their romantic turn of the century dining vision to life. Owners Ryszard and Helena Borowka and their son Sylvester Borowka oversee the entire operation. Ela Palmowski is the Executive Chef together with sous chefs Maria Palkowska, Bartosz Beresinski, Alexandr Oleineac, and Dusten Dixon. This international team of sous chefs are constantly innovating our menu. Other talented sous chefs joining us this year; Attilla Szabo from Hungary, Zdenek Holub from Czech Republic, Helmut Schumacher from Switzerland and Alexader Davidoff from Russia. Christopher Czapiga and Cindy Oland are the hosts who will welcome you gracefully on any occasion. The ambiance is one of pure charm, combined with an air of luxury and elegance. During the day classical music selection waft overhead, reminding you to take your time and enjoy the journey.*Adults only after 5pm
