New menu since I was there last, and I am not totally sure about because I loved the old menu. However I was not disappointed. Three of us shared Oysters, pictured... A Charcuterie, Eggplant w/ chickpeas, Kale and Beat salad and a Pizza. All delicious! That with drinks and the bill was about $120. Service 5/5 Food quality 5/5 Selection... More

Very nice lunch. Made reservations- thought for an anniversary lunch it would have been a better table instead of right next to the kitchen. Service was good, meal was yummy! They allow substitutions- had spatzel as the side. Snitzel was one of the best I have had! The bread basket is ok but butter was FROZEN.

This is one of my favourite restaurants in Edmonton. The atmosphere is charming; the staff are friendly and professional, and the European cuisine is some of the best I have ever tasted. From the dill pickle soup to the wild mushroom and sauerkraut perogies and the pork schnitzel complete with spaetzle...it is a culinary treat to dine there.

Four of us went here for dinner in December 2016 and we quite enjoyed it. The schnitzel was very good (but not as good as Bistro Praha), and it was nice to have beer served in a proper beer glass. The service was fairly good, although we found we were waiting at times - this might be by design (perhaps... More

Hi Rennurmk, Thanks for reviewing us. You would be correct in noting that we like to give our diners time to enjoy their meals as good food and company should not be rushed when possible. I'm hoping you come back at some point to enjoy the many other European based items we serve besides our schnitzel.. I'm sure you will... More

This Polish-German restaurant is a well-known and favourite meeting place located on Whyte Avenue, Edmonton's main shopping area on the city's south side. I've been here many times, and have always been pleased and contented with both food and service. Continental Treat is known far-and-wide for its Polish pickle soup, and when I and friends went there recently, the soup... More

Yes, dining or lunching at Continental treat is always a wonderful experience! The service is exceptional, the food is fantastic! The menu offers food from various European cuisines: French, German, Polish, Italian ... and all is superb! Try the pickle soup, borscht or Flatcky for an appetizer! But leave room for entree and desert. Prices are adequate for service and... More

Three of us went to the restaurant on a Thursday night. The place was almost full by the time we left. The chicken stroganoff was excellent as was the liver sausage and onions. However my meal of veal goulash was the best. The pickle soup was also great. This was my first encounter with this highly recommended dish. The service... More

Awww, cheers woodmister! Appreciate the feedback from you and the mention of our dishes which were tried. I know to many people, liver, sausage and onions may be scary, but I too believe it to be a classic dish. Our staff thank you for the feedback as well. We do our best to stay on point at all times. This family-owned restaurant offers central European food which is well-prepared and delicious. The service is excellent and professional. We've eaten here multiple times and have booked it for a family birthday celebration in the new year.

Hey Heidi014, I'm late in responding (sorry) but am curious as to how that family birthday celebration went? :) Yes we definitely offer a European based menu with a bit of a twist. The Continental Treat Restaurant is a family affair. Two generations of the Borowka Family work together to bring their romantic turn of the century dining vision to life. Owners Ryszard and Helena Borowka and their son Sylvester Borowka oversee the entire operation. Ela Palmowski is the Executive Chef together with sous chefs Maria Palkowska, Bartosz Beresinski, Alexandr Oleineac, and Dusten Dixon. This international team of sous chefs are constantly innovating our menu. Other talented sous chefs joining us this year; Attilla Szabo from Hungary, Zdenek Holub from Czech Republic, Helmut Schumacher from Switzerland and Alexader Davidoff from Russia. Christopher Czapiga and Cindy Oland are the hosts who will welcome you gracefully on any occasion. The ambiance is one of pure charm, combined with an air of luxury and elegance. During the day classical music selection waft overhead, reminding you to take your time and enjoy the journey.*Adults only after 5pm
