We had no reservation, the place was packed, and we were seated at the bar. Dylan took excellent care of us, making cocktails exactly to our liking! He cared about his craft and went the extra mile, to ensure we were happy! He and Darren...paid attention to the details, and made us feel very welcome. We shared a wedge salad, steak bites, and mussels. We enjoy great quality food, and one eleven did not disappoint. Great portions, and flavour. The live music was a bonus. We will be back soon!!More

Very disappointed with the portion sizes. Two of us had the Brome duck which was supposed to be cooked to medium but was very pink inside and two had steak, again medium ordered but very pink inside. The service was average, not what you’d expect...for the price of the food. We were seated nearly an hour before we got the drinks we ordered. It was my birthday meal, now looking elsewhere for a restaurant to celebrate any special occasionMore

We came to One Eleven Grill once before for lunch and it was such a great experience, we decided to return for dinner. Unfortunately, this time around, the experience was the opposite. While we were seated promptly and our server was friendly enough, she was...not very attentive and all over the place. She was extremely slow in coming back to take our order even though my menus were closed and faced down for over 10 minutes. Our drinks then took 20 minutes to arrive. Apparently the bar was running behind but from our table viewpoint, our server had forgotten to put in our order. Then it took over an hour for our meal to arrive. We kept asking for an update and kept getting apologies. I had two little ones with me so it is not acceptable to ask young children to wait one hour and 20 minutes for dinner. Seriously, how long does it take to make a grilled cheese sandwich? While the food presentation looked great, it didn't taste as great as we remembered. The kitchen messed up the side to my burger, the chicken was a little on the dry side, and the worst, my daughter's grilled cheese sandwich was cold and tasted like cardboard. The sandwich was basically two overly dried pieces of bread hard as brick slapped together with processed cheese in the middle. The server was apologetic and took this meal of our tab and I wouldn't expect any less. I wondered if we picked a bad day because I remember our last experience as nothing but exceptional. I would have to be convinced to return again.More

I went to One Eleven for a business dinner. The food was exactly as described and cooked perfectly. The place was packed on a Tuesday night. Enjoyed the bruschetta, spinach dip, French onion soup and the tenderloin. The staff was friendly and prompt considering how...busy it was. Will return!More

There are some good and bad things about my experience here tonight.. we (7/11 guests) arrived with a 6pm reservation for 11 people at 5:50pm (always good to be a little early, right?) and the table was ready with our waters and the friendly waitresses...welcomed us and brought us to our table upstairs. It was a beautiful setting and it was live jazz music night! It was quite warm upstairs.. my entire crew felt that the temperature was uncomfortable, and it just got more hot as the evening went on. When the rest of our group arrived (around 6:15pm, they got stuck in traffic) my 7 people had already ordered our drinks. So once the other 4 got situated they ordered their drinks and they were brought to us and we were immediately asked about starters! We got three split between the 11 of us. We had the marrow with parsley salad($24), red pepper spinach dip($19), and the prime bites($20). Those were brought to us within pretty good wait time and we’re sooo yummy!! 10/10. Then about 30 minutes go by and the waitress comes back to take our order and we wait and wait and wait and nothing comes.. we’re a big group so we have them the benefit of the doubt and sat tight and talked amongst ourselves. After 1.5 hours our waitress came by and said that they are plating our food and it’ll be up in a couple minutes. Then another half hour goes by and still no food. At this point we were quite frustrated because we were hungry and overheating. Eventually after a total of 2 hours of waiting from the time we ordered our main meal to when we got it. That was quite outlandish. The restaurant was not overly busy but there were quite a bit of tables. There was a couple groups of people (3-4 people each) who came in after us got seated and had their drinks and starters and meals all before we had gotten ours. The food was AMAZING!! But we can’t get over that super long wait time. And no one even came to apologize for the long wait. And it wasn’t just us either. There was a couple sitting in the same area as us and they had gotten there about an hour after we had arrived. They were talking amongst themselves and you could hear bits and pieces of their conversation and one of the things we heard was “I’ve never had to wait this long for a meal in my life.” And “this is ridiculous. I won’t be coming back to eat here.” If the food wasn’t as good as it was, this would’ve been one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had… so just a heads up if you’re planning on booking here, book a 1-2 hours ahead of when you’d like to eat.More

I can’t say enough about this place. We had the best dining experience that we have had in years. From the appies to the entres and yes desert. The food was amazingly good. But even better was our server Caitlyn! We go out for dinner...quite often and have never had better service any where. The service was Simply The Best! Thank you very much Caitlyn.More

Waited an hour and half for food just so the server could tell me he didn't put my order through. I was here all afternoon and didn't get any food. This place is ridiculous and I will make sure I spread the word.

About 2 weeks in advance I called the restaurant directly to inquire about their private room dining area and book for Dec. 29 2022, for a party of 10, including 2 toddlers, explaining we were all coming from out of town for one night only,...for a very important birthday/family reunion and gift opening. The guy put me on hold to check then assured me that it was available and he read back all the details to confirm. I called the day before to ask a question and told them who I was and when we were coming. I was also sent a text reminder the day before which I replied YES to as directed. When we all got there, they said they had to clear the table which I thought was odd. We were then directed to a noisy area right across from the bar. I informed the host there was a mistake - that we were booked for the private room. The host, who said she was the assistant manager, turned white and had us wait. A few minutes later she returned asking how and when we booked, while delivering the news that the room was already occupied. We were all completely flabbergasted. Babbling about online reservations, I felt she was trying to put the onus on us - what else can a person possibly do to check on reservations?! She tried to say she'd definitely " see about working on something for the bill" and wanted to squish us in the spot across the bar, which originally would have been ridiculously small to put 8 adults and 2 toddlers in the first place! If it weren't for the private room setting, this restaurant/bar was not a place we would have ever picked if we could not get the private room in the first place. At this point it did nothing to here the apologies - we were left in a lerch standing there with hangry screaming starving toddles, 4 cars full of presents that were supposed to be opened and a birthday grandpa who was already recovering from a stroke, who was on a tight timeframe to be out and supposed to be able to relax that evening! We left crushed. Due to said grandpa only having a short window to be out, we had to find another spot that would be more suitable. Today is Jan 2nd and as someone in the customer service industry, I'd expect nothing less than at least a personal phone call from the manager with an apology.More

The plot: The restaurant was packed to the rafters, Servers were serving their tables at an insane, but also efficient pace, Bar-tenders were blending, stirring, & shakin' up cocktails, all other libations, while keeping up with the demand. Our group of three friends, were seated...in the lounge area, next to the Saturday night entertainment, just as requested in the reservation phone call. ✔️ What needs to be pointed out here, is that its post pandemic. I've noticed ALL restaurants are working hard with training, keeping staff and praying that their grocery/liquor/supply orders arrive properly. If I could give One Eleven a 6th STAR - I would. EVERYTHING was ab-so-lutely excellent! ☆Seating Reservation - easily made 1 week prior to date needed. ☆Our Waitress - she did a fantastic job, under the pressures of the evening ☆ Our appetizers - fantastic steamed mussels (YES - tomato cream sauce! I'm so used to white wine sauce), and also the Crab cakes were delicious. ☆Our 3 entrées, portions were perfect and filling ( I was dining w/two ladies who are VERY particular about the "doneness" of their steaks (picky ole gals hey! LoL) - both mentioned that it was the BEST steak they have ever had! (a personal Thank You to the chef right there - keep that cook/chef FOREVER), because I cannot say enough about the Rack of Lamb - perfectly succulent, flavourful and juicy at medium rare! The demi glaze, drizzled on the plate beneath the rack - I wish I could've been baptized in... lol (it was that Heavenly!) ☆ Desserts & specialty coffees - delightful ending to an incredible dining experience (shout out to the crème bruleè) ☆ The entertainment - a load of fun, they were very engaging, it was our oldest, crankiest friend's 50th birthday - they made her feel special. All the while, engaging with the HUGE Christmas party group that was there as well. A night of FUN! Incredible Evening All around - its wonderful "to get what you pay for" and more - it was seriously TOP NOTCH!! btw: I've been coming to this place since it opened years ago. I’ve been here for a few lunch dates and half dozen upscale dinners with my husband. It has always been a wonderfully, classy place for: great food, service, ambiance, and live entertainment. I'm grateful they've made it through the last 3 years of world chaos, and to see them absolutely THRIVING in their post pandemic stage, is magnificent! A big Thank You to you and to your STAFF for your hardwork, it truly shows! I'm one of those patrons that truly respects that !More

We dined at One Eleven Grill on our last evening in Red Deer on a Saturday night and it was a wonderful experience! We did make an online reservation a few hours before and glad that we did. The restaurant was busy with a larger...wedding party and other regular customers. We were seated in a booth and our server Sierra, stopped by to welcome us within a few minutes of us being seated. She was very pleasant throughout the evening and was able to answer any questions we had about the menu and portion sizes. We ordered a Hawktail Cervesa draft and a Passionate Pear Punch for our beverages. They were both brought out within 10 minutes and both were delicious! My hubby ordered the full rack of ribs and I ordered the Mini Beef Wellington and the risotto of the day which was Onion. This is why I went down 1 star is because our food took a long time to come out. It was over 30 minutes for our food to arrive. But when our food did arrive, it was beautifully served and everything tasted amazing! My "mini" beef wellingtons were a big portion! It was 2 - 2.5 ounce servings. The pastry crust was so light and fluffy, the meat was cooked perfectly and the garlic aioli and au jus that came with it were delicious! My onion risotto was creamy and it tasted like french onion soup, but taken to the next level! Everything was served hot and was so decadent! My husbands ribs came with coleslaw, baked beans, veggies and fries. The coleslaw was good, it could have used just a bit more acid to the flavor. The baked beans.....omg....absolutely amazing! So tasty and a great flavor! He really enjoyed his ribs and they had a lot of sauce on them as well. We both really enjoyed our meals at One Eleven and just wish the food had come out a little sooner. We did notice that the lights above the tables almost made us feel like we were being interrogated. LOL! They were pretty bright and if they were tilted like 5 degrees or something, or a dimmer bulb, that would have been a bit better. The music was a bit loud for dinner service and made it feel more like a casual pub/dining experience, but the ambiance and decor is more on the elegant, romantic side. Even if the music was turned down just a tad, it would have been a better. Overall, we would definitely dine at One Eleven again. We really enjoyed our drinks, food and our server was friendly and pleasant.More
