I'm local and eat here about three times a year. I'd eat here more if fish and chips were health food! The main reason I come here is for the fresh salmon served in various ways such as tacos or battered fish. The quantities are VERY generous: unlike most fish and chip places where they give you lots of chips... More

had a chance to have lunch by the pier by Granville Island in Vancouver, sun shining, trees in bloom. Fish was excellent, beer batter taste, fries ok. Great place to visit, then head over for a micro beer at the Granville microbrewery...

We went for a staff lunch with six people. Five ordered the fish and chips and thought they were great. I had the salmon and tuna tacos and they were excellent. Everything was fresh and tasty. I also had the fresh fish Thai soup of the day. Flavorful and hearty. It was a Thursday lunch and it was not that... More

You will see the locals and tourists lined up on the sidewalk across the marina 500 feet Southeast of Granville Island. My wife had the one piece fish and chips, a generous piece of perfectly fried fish on a mountain of perfect french fries. I had a phenomenal sesame tuna sandwich. We stop here every time we are in Vancouver.

We went later in the day and it was freezing out so there was no lineup. We ordered the tuna fish tacos and fish and chips. The fish and chips were decent. The tuna fish tacos were fantastic, the coleslaw had an asian sauce and the seaweed in the taco made it very refreshing. We will definitely come here again.

Had the salmon fish and chips while my son had the salmon burger. Sat on the deck under the heat lamp and enjoyed the tasty, simple food. Great location.

We arrived right as they opened, which was very fortunate. No waiting! We ordered the Fish Sloppy Joe, some tacos, and Fish (salmon) & chips. The salmon was AMAZING, the sloppy joe was good; it had some kick to it. The tacos were so, so. Would probably not order again. Huge taco with a small piece of fish inside. I... More

I used to live where delicious fish and chips wrapped in newspaper were not difficult to find. I moved from there decades ago and have been searching since for really good fish and chips, English style. We tried Go Fish for lunch one day and were pleasantly surprised to find very good fish and crispy, tasty fries. Go Fish is... More

We had an early lunch here on Thursday 2nd Oct , my wife had the soup of the day - purportedly Thai. It was very ordinary. I had the fish and chips - cod - which was tasteless, and the chips mediocre. We will not go again, tho' the setting is very pleasant. Plastic chairs and the like which is... More

Staying in Granville Island & Fairview

Neighbourhood Profile
Granville Island & Fairview
One of the favoured neighbourhoods for a day out, Granville Island's packed theatres and art studios, hobby shops and book stores, restaurants and bars, all offer a plethora of activities and entertainment options, leaving no one bored. The highlight of the area is the Fisherman's Wharf, where the seagulls overhead and the smell of the sea invigorate its many visitors, some of who are there to shop the fresh wares at the public market, and others of whom have arrived to take in the eclectic atmosphere. A popular seafood destination, and Vancouver's leading spot for improv and amateur theatre, Granville Island is an indulgent, welcoming entertainment centre in any season or time of day.
