Sat @ the bar as I was alone and wanted a quick dinner on a very cold Thursday evening. Waiter promptly handed me menus and water. I knew what I wanted having eaten there before and ordered the Burger and a nine ounce Bordeaux! Great Chef (and her Sous) create absolute magic with this unforgettable Burger! Will be back 🍷

On the advice of a relative, my husband, daughter and I went here for my birthday dinner. The appetizers (French Onion Soup, Cheese Plate and Chicken Rillettes) were very good and they arrived very quickly. However it was a good 45 minutes before our entrees arrived - no explanation was given and only 1 apology was given. The entrees were... More

This tiny and tasty restaurant brings the feel of a French bistro from Bordeaux to Davies st in Vancouver. Traditional French quisine with local influences enjoyed next to an open kitchen in the middle of the bustle of an authentic bistro. This is a must dine in my opinion. Be sure to take advantage of the French wine options, most... More

La Brasserie has not lost any ground. Service was attentive and friendly, and the food and drinks were spot on. I enjoyed the Pear Whisky Sour and the French Onion Soup, as well as the starter Moules. Definitely worth a repeat visit.

Followed my wife's advice and visited this restaurant few days ago. The service was great and friendly. The taste was great. We had oysters, poutine and schnitzel. The prices are very reasonable for compared quality. We will for sure visit this place a lot..

Two tired travellers came upon this restaurant in Davie Street, and had an excellent dinner. This is a fairly small restaurant, so booking is probably advisable, but we were fortunate to get the last table without booking. The menu is a mix of French and German dishes. My beer braised rotisserie chicken was exceptional, moist and tasty. The accompanying vegetables... More

Picked this place primarily based on its close proximity to The Sheraton Wall Center(5min walk) The setting is small with an open kitchen. The wine menu and the beer selection is weighted to the French and German varieties. Great reasonably priced choices. The staff were attentive and very knowledgeable. Our party tried the surf clam in sweet chili sauce. Yummm.... More

Just happened upon this great restaurant while walking near our hotel. It was full but we were able to sit at the bar. It was the best seat in the house as we were able to watch the chef and her team at work. They were amazing- so professional, fast and cooking delicious food. We had the French Onion Soup,... More

A continental feel that was warm and inviting. Our waitress was so good, knowledgable, pleasant and friendly. My wife and I both ordered the Brasserie Burger. They were gigantic. Even better, they were delicious. The burgers were done to perfection and the meal just hit the spot. This is a neat place and it is highly recommended.

Place is small and cozy and staff wonderful. Came here for the tartar and had 2 versions of it.. the menu one and one a bit more spicy. Both are good, but the one we enjoyed most.. the more spicy one (it's not on the menu, but we highly recommend it if you want that European tartar zing). Had the... More

Staying in Davie Village

Neighbourhood Profile
Davie Village
Davie Village is the vital LGBTQ heart of Vancouver. It is the only like area in the world to have a permanent four-way rainbow crosswalk, to symbolise the city's solidarity with many of the businesses, ranging from bars to bookstores, that keep the area vibrant. By day, it is a people-watching stop, with fantastic boutique cafes, but at night is when it really shines, humming with neon lights and nightclub music inside many of the hip and trendy bars and dance halls. The area is diverse and welcoming, and its supportive community makes for a tight-knit group of independent and creative shops.
