Four of us went to dinner before a play. We had been out to a 'share' restaurant the night before, so a good comparison. The food here was upscale and very tasty. Lots of interesting drizzles and presentation. The service was excellent, but I found it...More

We stayed in Kitsilano for our week in Vancouver and selected The Oakwood because of its menu offering and we were really satisfied with our decision. The creative array of dishes, designed for sharing, meant we got to taste three different dishes and still had...More

Wow. What great place, the atmosphere was really intimate and warm, the staff super friendly and wanting to help. The food was my first "Canadian " fare and was delicious. I love having share plates, it's a great way for the group to share the...More

My first visit, but not my last. I like the concept as half the menu is designed for sharing. The portions are generous and every dish was delicious. We started with the kale salad; yeah, I'm not a fan of kale either but I wanted...More

Judging from the rave reviews I can only surmise the usual brunch cook called in sick. The ambiance was nice and the service was good, but the food was terrible. The burger bun was so oily on the outside you would not want to hold...More

Didn't expect their food to be so complicated. So many different flavors in every dish. Really nice surprise. Definite going back more often.

This is a nice restaurant, well served and nice environment. Canadian food, great salmon and local beers. I place to go, if you are in Vancouver.

Is there any sort of dress code? In the summer a nice shirt, khaki shorts and flip flops are my usual but don't want to stop over and find out I need closed toe shoes.

They change the menu pretty frequently and are pretty accommodating. There are some dishes they will let you mod!
How long a wait for Sunday brunch? I've heard the line- up is a problem. Is it better to go early (11:00-ish) or later 1:00-ish)?
