Went for dinner was pleasantly surprised at the great beer selection. The food was good and there were generous portions. Service was also very good. Servers were helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. The view was also nice looking across to north Vancouver.

Very accommodating to our large party. Food was really good. Drinks were even better! Kids all enjoyed themselves. Will go again! A mishap with billing on a couple but Server and Manager rectified immediately! Great job!

We arrived here in the late afternoon for a light snack and a beer. It had a nice pub atmosphere and we were seated next to the window to allow us to watch the people walking around the harbor. The Guinness was good and the food was acceptable.

One of those confused Irish/British/Scottish type amalgamation places but done very well. The beer menu was extensive and the Harp on tap was excellent. Food was abundant and enjoyable. Some live music was thrown to make a good evening all around.

I ate here twice last week including a casual business lunch for 8 of us. We got good service and the food was good. My soup and poutine could have been hotter. Wouldn't order the poutine again. All the other meals looked great and overall everyone enjoyed it. Lots of choices on the menu.

My Wife and I went here with a couple of friends while visiting the Vancouver Auto show, the pub was attractively furnished and quite busy probably due to the show, the pub is located on the North East corner of the Vancouver Convention Centre so it is a popular area withe pedestrians and cyclists travelling along the sea front as... Our second time visiting - extremely busy night, but we got a table by the window and enjoyed West/North Vancouver night lights. We grabbed a couple of snackies and a beer. The wings were good and so was the ribs. Will go back again when its warmer and hopefully sit outside.

Mahony's is a great place to place to have a few pints and enjoy a view of Coal Harbour. The staff are great and the best Guinness in my opinion. The food is delicious as well especially the chicken wings and Irish potato soup. The Irish stew was a little weird as it came with a lamb shank and it... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
