When you don't feeling like watching a game with pizza, we call Handi for takeout. I'm East Indian so I'm a bit fussy about Indian food and the food here is really good!! Order whatever you think is interesting. It's all yummy!! You won't go wrong. Btw if you try to eat at the restaurant on a Sunday night, you'll... More

We missed taking a picture of the main courses, but everything was so good! We got lamb biryani, butter chicken and mixed grill.

We live in the neighbourhood and had visited this restaurant previously with no food issues. Recently one of the employees bought ownership and this is our first return since then. This was brutal. Chicken tandoori was on a hot plate not a sizzling plate but the inside of the chicken was freezer cold; the fish was undercooked and soft, the prawns... More

We live nearby and this is our favourite neighbourhood place to go, we love Handi and have been coming here on a regular basis since it was opened. Food is always excellent and the service is warm and friendly, almost feel as though I am "family" when I'm at Handi. We also do their take away when we feel like... More

I had the: Paneer Pakora: became cold quickly, very thick, not at all delicate, under seasoned Shahi Paneer: cubes of cheese were smaller than at other restaurants, sauce was not very flavorful Lamb Coconut Curry: lamb was not particularly tender, sometimes tasted like beef, definitely had a beef consistency and a chewiness to it Gulab Jamun: average, similar to other... Super authentic. Full of flavour. Had the butter chicken which was a large portion. Completely destroyed it. I couldn't stop eating it. Prices were reasonable. One of the best Indian meals I think I've ever had.

While visiting friends in the area, they suggested walking to one of their favorite Indian restaurants in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed the dishes they ordered including the desserts. The coctails were yummy too. The food, service and company made a great night out.

Easily the most underrated Indian restaurant in the city! Their butter chicken is incredible, the best I've ever had! The restaurant is small, intimate and friendly. Highly recommended!

Great Indian food, generous portions and a fast delivery service make Handi a wonderful restaurant in a neighbourhood short of great options.

Staying in Kerrisdale

Neighbourhood Profile
Kerrisdale is Vancouver's laid-back shopping district. In contrast to Robson Street, there is more on offer, at more competitive pricing and a slower pace. Called "The Village" colloquially, over 200 storefronts and one-off shops crowd its streets with products and services. It is set in a comparatively sleepy part of town, with tasteful homes and tree-lined walks. Many of its buildings are listed on the Heritage registry, making it a wonderful place to amble and take in the visual history. Moreover, Kerrisdale's healthy consumer culture is especially apt for those interested in culinary, specialty, or children's shops, boasting more of these than anywhere else, meaning that it's a busy spot for families and hobbyists on the weekends.
