It was a cold but sunny Sunday in BC. We'd been to see the Laughing Men and walked along English Bay and now needed warmth and sustenance. Just across the street was this pub. We only wanted soup though I could see that many of the patrons were enjoying heartier fare. The soup was Chicken Tortilla and we both ordered... More

Everything was just average. I expected more from a Brit pub as I have traveled extensively in Europe and their pub are great. The sausage was way overdone and hard and the chips were soggy and had way too much sauce. The Beer was ok.

Went here late and they had stopped serving food so started off dissapointed. Ordered two drinks. They didn't have bar lime so couldnt order the beverage I wanted. Waitress was nice at first and then just ignored us most of the time. She came over a while later to tell us they were accepting cash only, in a not so... More

We went in to check out what we thought was a British pub. When we got in the door, there was loud techno crap playing. The bartender had no idea how to make a very common drink. And the sports channels that were on for most of our visit were all changed to a soft-porn movie that was very raunchy... More

Management response:

Thanks very much for taking the time to review our wonderful little pub. Firstly I wanted to clear up the idea that this is a British pub. It is not. The name "the three brits" pays homage to the area known as English Bay which was brought by 3 British settlers known as Samuel Brighouse, John Morton and William Hailstone.... More

Attentive service but minimal charisma or charm. Confusing menu with each page titled "Brunch" Had Beef dip, tasty, with OK salad. Wild probably not come back, just too un-appealing. There was an untidy look with piles of server stuff in many places, bartender on his phone.

Stopped in for drinks and wings, good mixology, slow on the service to start, as our server took our table but was going off shift, and basically stalled us until she could hand us off to another server, who took good care of us once she took the table over. The menu was basic pub fare, nothing gourmet or overly... More

We loved the location of Three Brits full on ocean view. Add to that a good selection of local craft beers and an enticing Sunday brunch menu. You'll feel like you've won the lottery.

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
