The food was tasty, expecially the sandwiches and the panenkoek (a Dutch style pancake) which comes with different sides to choose from. The cost was medium and the portions generous. I would reccomend it for breakfast, lunch and brunch.

One of the top breakfast places to eat in Canada. The staff are incredible, the food is delicious, and the view is spectacular. Unique dishes, all equally delicious and worth a try. Visited daily for breakfast, but they are open for lunch as well. View of the mountains from the restaurant and sea planes taking off and landing added to... More

I have been to the waterfront location several times over past few years that I have been visiting Vancouver and it is the closest to authentic Dutch food you can get. I am also from Holland so I have eaten Dutch food on both sides of the ocean. The croquette lunch is 100% authentic down to the salad dressing! The... More

Service was poor. The food was poor. The prices were high. $3.25 for a tasteless coffee! The only good thing about it is the view and there are lot of better places with a view.

Went there for breakfast one morning. We both ordered a breakfast entrée. Very good but very generous portions. Went back a couple of days later and split one order. Apparently that is very common. Good food. Service varied. First time excellent, second time fair. I would recommend.

I've visited De Dutch on a number of occasions for breakfast. Most recently a week ago. It was a chilly and rainy start to the day and we were warmly greeted as we entered. The staff sat our party of 7 quickly. The menu is quite extensive. It took a little while to choose a meal and although the cinnamon... More

There were 12 of us. We were lucky to get the family room that fit all of us perfectly. Food was super yummy, but service was average. After breakfast, take a stroll around Coal Harbour... it's perfect.

Visited on a rainy day and it wasn't very crowded, yet service was a bit slow and refills of water had to be repeatedly requested. Food was good, but not as good as De Dutch in Kelowna.

Visited for breakfast on 2 occasions , the service is brilliant, the staff are very friendly , the place itself is clean and tidy and if you are lucky enough to get seating outside the views are brilliant , and its always busy . Didnt think it... More

Great place for a big breakfast, maybe best to share a plate. My De-frenchtoast was delivered with 6 slices F-toast, 2-eggs and bacon. Way too much food for me. But it was very good and I tried hard to eat it most of it.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
