our second choice for lunch, the other had a 45 minute wait. didn't even know this place existed, amazing how one can walk on a street and not look across at the other side. tall ceilings, warm wood interior, colourful art work. we enjoyed our lunch, a hamburger and a salad with a pizza like flatbread. indifferent service, didn't matter,... The Kingston is a little bit of old Vancouver with a warm atmosphere and pleasant staff. The food is basic west coast cuisine. I would recommend either lunch or dinner at the restaurant.

Service is good and attentive. Place is deceptively large and good ambiance. Ideal for a lunchtime spot with colleagues.

The staff at the Kingston Taphouse are great, always helpful and kind. They have a great selection of beers and have large TVs. A great place to watch a game. We had some appetizers, they left something to be desired. The dry rub ribs were really dry and salty. If you are staying at the Kingston Hotel next door, you... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
