Scoozi's has been around for a very long time and is a popular place for breakfast, though this was our first visit. We were greeted warmly at the door by owner Michael Stamoulis, who hails from Greece and made us feel like we were lifelong friends he had been waiting forever to see. The server was friendly. The coffee is... More

wandering around Vancouver in the snow, stopped in here for a take away tea. saw the baked goods thought we'd take one along also. the owner so friendly and unique suggested why don't we have a seat and they'd get a cinnamon bun for us with fruit etc. and so we were persuaded to do that. blueberries and syrup all... I was very warmly greeted at the door by both the owner and my server. I felt really welcomed. I sat at a cosy booth and ordered French Toast with warm syrup & fresh fruit for breakfast. It was excellent. Even my coffee was prepared with whipped hot milk. Just so much extra attention to detail. My server genuinely wanted... More

Needing breakfast and being early for an appointment, I stopped in at Scoozi's on the recommendation of the clerk at FedEX. I have to say, that the FedEx clerk did not give it as high a recommendation as she should have. She said it was excellent, but she underestimated the place. Good coffee, a bottomless cup, and a really good... More

We decided to check out Scoozis on our second morning in Vancouver, this was Saturday Jan 21. It was an incredible breakfast with great service. The eggs benedict was amazing as was the coffee with steamed milk. We decided we loved it so much we have to go back on Sunday. The serivce lacked a bit that day, but the... More

We came due to the great reviews but I think some of them were dishonestly written in by buddies because our particular dinner experience was very disappointing. Although the owner gave my kids half portions for the meals they ordered (no kid menus) and reduced their costs accordingly, he also offered us 2 rounds of warm pita bread while we... More

The restaurant has a nice family run charm to it (although I do not know if it is actually family ran). The service was efficient, quick and not overly bothersome. The spanikopita here tastes amazing and the Greek salad was top notch (very fresh), the lamb tasted great and the hummus was just right. I personally did not like my... More

During a short stay in Vancouver I ate breakfast at Scoozi's, then went back again! First time I had the omelette-casserole hybrid and it's delightful! Get stuck in! Second time round I had the breakfast pizza. Although OK, I wished I'd stuck with what I had first time. Coffee good, service excellent. In my option not 'a cheap' breakfast, but... More

The owner was super rude. We arrived on January 2nd, the restaurant was open so we went inside. As soon as we went inside and sit ourselves (without any help), the owner inmediately came over and start yelling that we should leave on a very rude manner. He literally threw us out the door!! We will never go back there... More

Staying in Gastown

Neighbourhood Profile
Gastown
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's history a more lively presence here than anywhere else. Having been originally founded around a popular worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of Vancouver's best micro-breweries, creative cocktail joints, and corner bars can be found in this area. Classical charm suffuses its many vintage boutiques and the brick-built structures that an army of creative professionals call home.
