Always busy, always fresh. Don't expect special service or ambiance but count on top quality, amazing value and consistency. Dollar for dollar the MOST reliable and fresh sushi in all of Vancouver. Don't bother with take out. Just eat at the bar. Sometimes I wonder why I eat anywhere else.

Fourth visit and more to come. Great value and taste. Service polite but inattentive. Had to ask for refills on tea (sullen tea server came around after prodding) and to clear away dirty plates. Had to get up to get a new napkin after a long wait. Had agedashi tofu Appy - great. Yakisoba with shrimp was hot and tasty,... More

We were here last year with my uncle, aunt and cousin. It was excellent then and again this time round. Their salmon sashimi is huge. I forgot how big the pieces were and ordered 2 dishes. OMG, barely able to finish it!!! Great value for your money. A must try sushi place if you love sushi. Recommend you make reservation... More

Great sushi and sashimi, at bargain prices! They have a good variety on the menu and we were amazed by the portion sizes for rolls and sashimi....compared to Sydney, Australia its steal!

The sashimi is always fresh and delicious. Make sure you ask for the sockeye salmon sashimi. The rolls are creative with many different options to chose from. Best sushi in the area, easily top 5 in the city.

Sometimes we can't have both great sushi and great service. And that's sad. If you want probably the biggest pieces of sashimi you've ever had for a decent price then this is your place! The rolls are good, not great and the service is adequate at best. We didn't get exactly what we ordered (which is more expected in an... More

Worth the travel. The sushi melt in your mouth and as soon as you open the door you are infused in fresh sushi smell. Been going there for years now and even if I moved in the surrounding of Vancouver I made sure I stop by to pick up my fav sushi every time. Give it a try; you're love... More

I had Tempura Veggies, Beef and California Roll Sushi. The dinner was excellent and the service was awesome. It was the best sushi I have had in nearly 20 years. Memorable and delicious. I will return.

Neighbourhood Profile
South Main
South Main, or SoMa, is a neighbourhood in upswing. Inhabited by young humanitarian professionals in converted lofts and studio apartments, what was once an industrial centre is now a wellspring of vintage and eco fashion shops, contemporary sawdust-floor galleries, craft beer joints, and basement acting studios. All set to an Art Deco background with a strong blue collar sensibility underpinning each new pop-up and foodie trend, SoMa is on the rise.
