Rodney's Oyster House is restaurant with minimum fuss and minimum comfort. Table made of wood, simple chairs... But the oysters are excellent, the chowder superbe and the mussels delicious. The service was very friendly, and the bill light! Excellent ration Price/quality!

Parking is on a one way alley with most spots diagonal back in only. Raw oysters are served with number of different sauces from salty to spicy! The mussels have a flavorful buttery sauce that is great for dipping with the sourdough bread! We also had the oyster chowder which was also great! No complaints, staff was friendly!

Had oysters for the 3rd time and liked them for the first time. The server was very helpful with our choices. Also I highly recommend the potato encrusted halibut.

I have been here a few times and always enjoyed it. They have a great selection of oysters. Last night I had the New England clam chowder which was a meal in itself. The place is very popular and the staff are great. I went this time by myself and sat at the bar. It is always packed and lively

We ordered family style and had the crusted halibut, deep fried oysters, scallops pasta, crab cakes and ocean salad which was brought on large platters. The food and service was great. We had a large round table in the corner upstairs so the location was great for us as well. At this price point I think it's good value for... More

We have just finished a dinner at Rodneys at Yaletown. During the last part of our meal a mouse runs across the room. When we voiced our concern the waiter not only insults our friend but tells us we just have to get used to it. Can you believe this. A mouse carries disease not only in the resturant but... More

This place is awesome. It’s not a very big restaurant and I think that adds to its appeal – it’s cozy, casual, and comfortable. I like that you can find this place in Yaletown where most restaurants are stuffy and almost status-conscious. It is located a block down the Yaletown-Roundhouse Canada Line skytrain station on Hamilton St and tucked away... More

Had a quick stop by this happening spot the other day. Thought I could slurp back some oysters between gigs. Not disappointing. There was a good selection of oysters packed on ice. The product was superb and beautiful. Not cheap. But oysters are a premium product and so it goes. I missed the $1.50 for a shuck in the afternoon... More

The waiter was able to advise us on Oyster types we were looking for. Thought he was knowledgable and helpful. The Oysters were great. Walked away after paying the bill thinking the rest of the meal was really just average and service average.

I really shouldn't give this an "excellent" review because we really felt very ignored. Upon entering the hostess said she could seat us as long as we are out by 8pm. Well we sat and were ignored for ten minutes! then finally they took our drink and oyster order and again we sat and waited for what seemed forever! Finally... More

Staying in Yaletown & False Creek North

Neighbourhood Profile
Yaletown & False Creek North
Yaletown has risen from the ashes of its rough-and-tumble industrial past into one of Vancouver's new chicest neighbourhoods. The place responsible for originating of the phrase 'skid row' might not call to mind independently-owned boutiques and terraced cafes, but having swallowed the waterfront lines of False Creek North, the resulting amalgamation transformed the area into an elegant, stylish hotspot with a view. Its youthful vibe owes to the many young families and young professionals who live there, bolstering nightlife and restaurant variety along its cobbled streets. It is the flagship neighbourhood for modern revitalization, and the It-Spot for boutique hotels and modish eats.
