Came here 2 days in a row! They have mini sets in the mid afternoon and also at 9pm, they serve the mini meals which includes a drink. Great portions and tasty food. We ordered the Russian borsch, chicken laksa, olive fried rice. We also ordered a pasta and peppercorn steak with a mushroom sauce that was on their "special"... More

Yesterday I went for dinner with two friend to the “Cafe Gloucester” at Cambie Street. The selection on te menu shows a fusion between Chinese and Western cuisine. I ordered Baked Prawns in Cream Sauce & Shredded Chicken in Tomato Sauce with Rice while my friends ordered Combos with Chicken Filet, Pork Chop & Sole Cutlet and with Chicken Filet,... More

I have been frequenting Cafe Glouchester for years. The curry beef brisket, baked Portuguese seafood, Shanghai rice cakes, baked pork chop, French toast, the list goes on. It is all great! The staff is friendly and welcoming. Can not say enough good things about this place. Definitely worth a visit.

Food is OK. Met expectations. Not exceptional. Pricey for a Hong Kong style Cafe. Can accommodate larger groups. Lots of other places nearby to eat at if this place is busy.

Gloucester Restaurant has been in business for many years. It is the typical Hong Kong style cafe. They have the HK style coffee and tea, plus many other Asian drinks. If you want to experience a HK style fast food experience, give it a try. Food is definitely good...Many options from Asian style steak (lots of sauce) to fried rice.... More

Whether its a Chinese Style Steak, a Onion & Green Onion Halibut Hotpot or a Peatip Garlic Sauce, they serve a very tasty meal. You also get a free soup and drink with your meal. To me the service is very good especially the waitresses, Sa and Suki.

Frankly, there are not that many goto places in Vancouver if the sudden hunger hits you late in the evening, especially in the Vancouver West! I for sure would find a eatery that I know I won't be disappointed (ie, delish, inexpensive with a decent ambiance). And Café Gloucester always comes to mind. CG has been around for years... mainly... More

Every time I come back, me and my family go for either lunch or dinner. Today was no exception. With friendly staff and delicious food, it's no wonder the atmosphere is always bustling. Today, we ordered four things: Soya Beef Fried Noodle; Baked Pork Chop with Curry Sauce with Rice; French Toast; and my favourite, Beef Brisket Fried Noodle. Soya... More

Admittedly, I've only ever had the chicken fried rice. I CRAVE it, it's that good! I brought a friend there (who's in Hong Kong every other week) and he said it was the best he's had as well. Very authentic Asian cuisine.

The service there is mediocre. When I was there, I ordered the chicken bowl, but it never came. It took us a while to find a server (they were too busy), but eventually they did come, and the chicken bowl came. It took about 20 minutes to come in total. Servers not good at English. However, in general, the service... More
