This place is a can't miss. Every morning spent in Vancouver begins with a breakfast at Twisted Fork. The portions are HUGE, the jams are fantastic and the french press coffee is the best!!

Really cool place with an interesting vibe. Sat at the counter and was able to chat with the manager and employees a bit. Really casual. Interesting egg dishes and combinations. Really enjoyed the carafe of coffee and fresh squeeze orange juice. It was a while ago so I can't exactly remember what we had but I remember enjoying the eggs... More

Service is wonderful, food is incredible and the drinks are amazing. We were in Vancouver for 3 mornings and found this place the first day. We were so impressed we came back the next 2 mornings.

Their creative menu is complimented by artfully arranged dishes and delicious food. Excellent service. We enjoyed watching the chefs cook from where we sat. Although not on the menu, they offer a vegan dish full of variety and flavor (brunch had homemade beans, roasted tomatoes, spinach, potato/veggie hash, sourdough toast with jam, fresh fruit.) Nice atmosphere, natural wood accents.

After flying in from London the previous evening our stomachs were still on UK time. Whilst our watches said that it was early Saturday morning, our appetites were more like late afternoon after no breakfast. What better reason for tracking down a good brunch spot which, after some on-line research, we had done. The same research warned that a long... More

We chose this cafe for brunch because of its great reviews, and were not disappointed. The menu is much more than the usual brunch fare - no sign of bacon and eggs on toast. Instead we feasted on scrambled eggs with diced courgette, spinach, roasted tomatoes , rosti, sourdough toast and jam. The service was quick and friendly, and our... More

Was a but cautious because the place looks a little grimey and it's pricey....but was surprised! The breakfast was delicious! Everything made from scratch and huge portions with attentive staff. I would go again if I visit Vancouver!

One of the best breakfasts we've ever had overseas. Great place! Quirky decor, friendly staff. The "Eggs Benny" was amazing and huge as was the " Croque", both delicious and washed down with lovely glasses of orange juice. It was a wonder we could get out the door after that. Would return in a heartbeat!

Dined here for lunch. The bistro has a neat feel and ambience. In terms of coffee they only serve french press plunger coffee, which was more than fine. Had the Chicken Salad was very good and arrived in less than 5 minutes. Sat at the bar and enjoyed soaking up the ambience and chatting to the staff. Finished with a... More

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
