Consistently high-quality French cuisine. Efficient, friendly, good-natured service. Busy, hip, chic vibe. Be warned: you will likely have a wait at peak times as they don't take reservations. They don't need to. It's worth the wait. I lived part-time in this space 35 years ago...More

We were in Victoria for one night and 'found' Brasserie l'Ecole on Trip Advisor. It was close and sounded appealing. Understanding they took no reservations we arrived at about 6:30 expecting to encounter a wait but after a couple of minutes we got seating at...More

Unbelievable how amazing everything was! I'm happy I arrived when I did and scooped up a seat at the bar without a reservation before it was full immediately after! Ribeye was cooked to perfection and everything was 5 Star!

Sorry you didn't enjoy our service. At 5'9" and 200 lbs (maybe a bit more), I'd hardly describe myself as a small man (Stats Can has the average height of a Canadian Male Adult at 5'9 1/2 ") Marc

Large group. That could be a problem given this place doesn't take reservations - you line up and await the doors which open at ~5:30pm. I got there just after 4:30 and was the only one in the line until just before 5:00. Service for...More

Ambiance is a little scarce, but perhaps that's the intention; a little French minimalist. Steak was great, but my friend, much to his disappointment, who also ordered the same had a much smaller cut than mine. A received a centre cut from the loin and...More

Four of of us, with fingers crossed, went to Brasserie L'Ecole hoping for a table (they do not take reservations). We were in luck and enjoyed a truly French dining experience. Starting with a wonderful French bubbly, we enjoyed appetizers including Medjool dates stuffed with...More

No valet parking. You have to park on the street or in the parking near by. Also you have to be there early for the first seating at 5.30pm or you will have to wait until 7.00 pm next seating. No reversation taken.
