Food was delicious! Restaurant is a smaller more intimate dinning room. We went during the week and there were not many other customers there. Perogies, cabbage rolls, kielbasa and sausages where all excellent.

We ordered burgers, sandwiches and fries for lunch, and were totally disappointed not only with the food, but with the disinterested service. The restaurant was totally empty - except for us, and when we did get our food, the woman who served us looked bored and was not friendly. The burger was small, and appeared to be made of lower... 5 adults and a toddler agreed that the food was great at Julia's. Borscht was very tasty, and everyone loved the perogies. Polish sausage was also given a big thumbs up. The Polish and Ukrainian beers were appreciated. The service was cheerful and efficient. We would definitely visit Julia's again. There is a good wheelchair ramp, but gravel parking is... More

Waited many months for the re opening of Julia's latest venture here in Matlock. Suffice to say that the dining experience did not warrant the extended waiting period. Food was mediocre at best and portions were very small which makes the quite high pricing pretty hard to justify. We only live three blocks away but will probably not be back.... More

Polish women are amazing people and cooks. I know this because I am the proud Granddaughter of a little Polish lady who lived until she was 94. I hope that I follow in her footsteps because she was so robust that she actually picked peas from her garden just days before she passed away. I am quite sure that my... More

Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend Julia's because it is too salty. One doesn't get much food for the cost and I wish I had tried the Ukrainian place in the Forks before I travelled all the way to this place by bus. My friend's late father cooked better Ukrainian meals than what was sampled here. Although the Borscht was fairly good... More

I hadn't been to Winnipeg for a few years, and last time I didn't get a chance to go to Julia's so I was excited to try it again. My memory had served correctly, and now I can't wait until I'm in Winnipeg again. The atmosphere makes you feel right at home, the food is delicious, great service! Lunch for... More

High prices, poor quality, poor decor, and poor service combine to make this one to add to your bypass list. The potato pancakes turned out to be fried mashed potatoes which didn't match what would normally be expected with the $10 price. The 3 slices of sausage were pretty good but couldn't save the disappointing meal. The coffee is coffee-colored... More
