A busy day lead to thoughts of a meal and a place new to me and friends. The Nook was recommended and we went for dinner. A request for decaf coffee was fine and there was a variety of things to choose from. The onion rings were fantastic, and the salad as well. One concern was for gluten free fries,... More

This place is a hidden gem (or maybe it's not so hidden anymore). The food is like you would fine in someone's home, with fresh and flavorful ingredients. The had a Reuben, and was very impressed with the quality of the corned beef. The chicken fingers and home made fries that my fiancee had were also of really high quality,... More

The Nook is a friendly corner diner with a great mix of standard diner fare. Their evening specials are always very good and the food quality is excellent. It is a great place for a relaxed meal or leisurely breakfast

My brother and I took our mother here. She currently resides at the Misericordia center. The food is simple but it is delicious. The pulled pork sandwich, which was the special of the day,was wonderful with the sauce that was not overpowering and allowed the taste of the pork to come through. Another diner, anonymous to us,paid for our meals. The... More

It had been close to 20 years since I'd been to this Wolseley neighborhood diner. It's been a staple of the neighborhood for as long as I can remember and the burgers are still incredible! My friend suggested coming here for Fat Boy Burgers, and they are still one of the best burgers in Winnipeg. I have to recommend heading... More

Great little place to eat. Super breakfast and very reasonable priced. Also great soups. The fresh roast turkey sandwich is yummy, and excellent coffee. Recommend. Didn't have the putine but it looked great!

The Nook feels a little out of place on Sherbrook, next to the newer upscale and trendy new diners, but it certainly has its place. Generous portions, decent greasy-spoon diner fare, good value. Atmosphere leaves something to be desired, but the service is good and location is great.

Went for lunch with my daughter. We each got a cup of beef noodle soup which was very tasty and we shared a very large platter of chicken caesar salad which came with a thick slice of garlic toast, enough for two people. The server was very efficient and pleasant. Our food came in a timely manner. We enjoyed our... More
