Very much a great pub atmosphere, there was a solo artist playing guitar and singing traditional songs on the stage. Beer or tap tasted flat to me (Coors light), and my meal was average. All in all it was an average experience. Very friendly waitstaff!

Live music every night and the cod bites are delicious. My husband had the newfie dinner and loved it.It's pricey like everywhere in St Johns but it has a nice atmosphere and good music.

After arriving in newfoundland a day prior, my husband and I were looking for some nightlife action with live music. And boy did we find it!!! We heard George street doesn't really liven up until about midnight, but we headed out at 11, and snagged some great seats at the bartop right in front of an amazing band. The bar... More

We were in town visiting family over Christmas. My two sons and I were here for a couple of beers, some finger foods and good music. It was a fun afternoon. Food, beer, service and entertainment were top notch. Will definitely return in the near future.

I had late lunch here, I think I caught a shift change as service was slow. The food was good, as was the beer. I ate on the patio which is nice. I know I would not like George Street at night maybe if I was 30 years younger? I doubt even then...

Fergus O'Byrne was scheduled to be on a 5PM, and I got there a bit early and discovered his son, Fergus Brown-O'Bryne, was there playing around a table with about 8 other musicians. They were just finishing up their jam, but played another number for me and let me videotape. I had deep fried scallops (delicious!) and a red local... More

This Pub was referred to us by a local, It was great in a fun location on a stairway between streets. The Beef & Kidney pie was delicious, could have been served a bit warmer, but the flavor was there. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was great!

Great spot for a pint. Live music all the time. Worth a look for sure. More relaxed during the week, usually packed on the weekend. Good mix of people.

George Street was pretty quiet, but there was live music here. We both had seafood and both meals were excellent. I had never thought about going here for food before until I seen it on trip advisor - would definitely return.
