Food was poor and the service was very poor seem like the workers didn't want to be there and were very cranky! I would recommend this place once just to see how bad it is

The seadog was a turning point for my solo bike trip. I had spent several days on my bike, camping wherever I could find a spot big enough along the N.S rails to trails system. This was the first cycling trip ive done, and by the time I got to shelburne I was questioning myself and whether or not I... More

Salty Seadog sits right on the harbour, you can watch the sunset and night lights of the harbour .Food was very good, seafood patties were enormous!Apple crumble served in a tall glass was creative and yummy!Service by our waitress was very friendly and entertaining with local stories and information! Old school and eccentric dockside tavern, great location and good for lunch. Weird décor and overhead lighting for music nights will not be to everyone's liking, but a large menu and good choice of draught beers will be,large platters all reasonably priced and friendly staff, lots of outdoor dining space and such a great spot. Loved the car fenders on... More

We were on a road trip along the South and South-west shore of Nova Scotia and we encouraged to go to Shelburne...Quite frankly, Shelburne itself was a disappointment, but we found this great restaurant/bar right on the water. Unfortunately it was not a great day weather wise, so we couldn't sit on the deck. But we had a window seat... More

Pub fare on the waterfront. A water view from anywhere in the room as well as outdoor seating. Excellent food and authentic "salt cod" if you are up for it. Closes at (;00 pm

At least every other year I take friends here to eat because the location and view is outstanding. The venue is old seaport style and charming. There is quite an extensive old style menu. There was agood selection of beers, and we found the Seafood chowder very good. We also order a fish cake (gigantic sized and mostly potato and... More

My husband and I went to this place as it is on the harbour and we wNted to sit in a pub and have a drink on the patio. Well turns out you can't sit anywhere but two tables tucked inside I the back corner to have just a drink. If you want to sit anywhere with a view you... More

Dear customer, I know it is silly to blame the law for being stupid but that is the law. Our liquor laws make us choose between allowing families on the deck or making it drinking without food which means 19years of age and over. So for you to have your way I would have to ban families from eating on... More
