The Bicycle Thief is an honest attempt to be creative with staple Italian menu items, and it works. So kudos to the chef for making it work. We had an outside table and I'm glad we did as the evening was pleasant, and if you...More

We visited The Bicycle Thief on a recommendation. We were not disappointed. We sat outdoors overlooking the harbour. The staff is very attentive and the food was Delicious. Perfect as a matter of fact. We had appetizers and the price was reasonable.

This seems to be a current favourite in Halifax. However though accepting that restuarants and bars in Canada are often darker than UK equivalents this one was so dark it was hard to read the menu and as hard to see the food once served....More

This is a restaurant on the waterfront harbor of Halifax. It is always packed and it is better to make reservations. It is named after Vittorio Di Sica's film Bicycle Thief and there is a creative sculpture on the theme that I liked. We tried...More

Great food, good service. Not an expansive menu. Very pricey. Location is very nice on the waterfront.

We thorpughly enjoyed our dinner at the Bicycle Thief. The location on the waterfront is first rate. We had exceptional service and the meal presentations were superb. We made reservations and we were glad we did. The place is obviously popular as it was packed.

Check out their website online, or give them a call. But, I do not think they have this dish on their regular menu.

We paid less than $100 canadian for an appetizer of calamari, and two mains which were on the higher end of the menu with a white sangria, a beer and desert. Well worth every penny!
