Love this place, great menu (good prices) and such a chill ambience. Awesome location to meet up for dinner n drinks with friends. Family friendly, n lots of small 2 people seating n if course large seating available for groups. The baked haddock was good, nothing too spectacular but good, roasted potatoes were a lil undercooked in the middle but... More

Service is always good and often excellent Chicken wings were good and we would order these again We generally share a club sandwich about 2 times a month and it is always generally very good but tonight the chicken was very tough to the point where the other couple with us complained to the server and my wife could not... Decided to try out the new location with friends after the Film Festival, it was a mistake! The decor, music and ambiance in general seemed to be catering to seniors. I remember the Fireside being the place to go on a Monday night, however this was not the case. The seating is a bit strange with awkward small church pews... More

I am sorry you didn't enjoy your experience. Those church pews have received good reviews from folks and are 100 years old. Monday nights are still a strong night for us, however the start is usually later now as the martini crowd seems to like a later start as the years have gone on. I appreciate the feedback on the... I tend not to review places that I don't like, but I am making an exception for the new Fireside. I once loved Fireside but went to their new location recently and with the exception of the terrific server, it was very disappointing. The menu has changed - they've taken off my fave - the grilled eggplant, but I was... More

The Fireside recently moved into a new location. The menu is much the same with a variety of basic and comfort foods all prepared fresh and presented well. Try the fish and chips.

Went for lunch...its a bit high on the price scale where a glass of wine cost me $17.00. Salad and dessert and my total bill, with tip was almost $50...for LUNCH. The new space is nice, but it doesn't have a warm feeling to it. The service was exceptional, we had a large group and only one waiter, but I... More

Atmosphere: noisy. Service: not particularly good. Food: okay, but only just. Prices: a little high for what you get. If you like feeling taken for granted, this is the place!

I am sorry to read that u didn't enjoy your visit. Since we have changed locations business has been more brisk. Additional people do tend to provide a little more background noise, most of our clientele like the energy that this provides to the room. From a value perspective most of our mains are in the $15 range which most... More

We wanted someplace close to where we were staying and ended up here. There were just a couple of other tables occupied on a Sunday night. The wait staff was very friendly and provided the right amount of attention to our needs. The chicken stuffed with Brie was cooked to perfection and the raspberry coulis was yummy. Others in our... We were seated at a pew style bench and small club style chairs and round tables. More for a lounge than a restaurant. But my pew was surprisingly comfortable. It is decorated as if it is a older style home, with a fireplace and decorations and low lighting. They offer a very nice cocktail menu as well as a wine... More

I could BARELY hear my boyfriend who was sitting right in front of me. We decided to get spinach dip, which wasn't great and came in the world's tiniest ramekin, so I had two scoops. The cocktail I had (blue coconut- supposed to be coconut rum, caracao and cran) was just a small glass filled with ice and what tasted... More
