I was introduced to Hefeweizen here. They have a very good selection of beer, good bar food. Also first place I had poutine. Good wait staff and friendly.

We really like the atmosphere and location at the Plum! Saturday after 2pm is wing night; 15 pieces for $4.99 and they are a decent size - served with hot sauce or honey garlic. Cooked perfectly! We each ordered the wings and a side (!) of deep fried pepperoni - way too much food. With 2 Rum and cokes each,... More

My overall impression is that the place doesn't work as a restaurant... it is a bar that is forced to serve food. I went there for breakfast and the service was lousy, the food served late and cold. Lunch... the service was lousy, the food served inconsistently and nothing special. The upside..... it was very inexpensive. So... back to my... More

It had been a long time since I'd been to Maxwells Plum. So long that I don't remember the reason I stopped going, only the reputation. We went in on a Thursday night to try an old favourite place again. It wasn't crowded and we sat at a lovely booth by the window. We ordered our drinks right away (soft... More

We swung into Maxwell's Plum for a few drinks and a late snack on a Friday night. We sat near a booth by street window. With so many beer choices it took me a few minutes to figure out what I wanted to try but it was a dark and delicious IPA. We ordered a plate of appies that came... More

The pub was empty. ( 3 or 4 tables already served) 3 or 4 wait staffs at the bar talking and laughing. Waited 10/15 mins no one care of me. A couple showed up 5 minutes after my arrival, had their drinks served before someone came to my table. I stood up and left.

Called to make sure we could bring our toddler with us and we were told they could only be there until 8pm (understandable since it is a pub), the child has to be accompanied by a guardian (clearly) but also all people including the child at the table need to all buy a full meal...no sharing! Our toddler usually has... More

Stopped in for a quick steak and beer and definately not disappointed. Service was great for such a busy little place. Will surely make a point to stop in again.
