My parents have been going to Shakespeare's since it opened. Now on to the 3rd generation of family visitors, and each meal is an occasion. I've never been treated to such a perfect combination of hospitality, delicious food and incredible atmosphere in all my years of dining. Having spent 20+ years in the hospitality industry, my standards are high -... More

We visited Shakespeare's last night for a friends 40th birthday, there were 20 of us and we had a nice room all to ourselves. They start you off with a very tasty pickle/cheese/olive tray and some delicious garlic bread. They are very generous with both of these, very nice touch. I had a caprese salad to start which was very... More

Had dinner there last night and the food was very good. At the end of each meal a big bowl of candy, with a spoon, is brought over to each table. I noticed an elderly woman who was there with her daughter, picking her teeth with her fingers and then sticking her fingers in the bowl to get some candy.... More

My boyfriend and I visited spontaneously as we were in the neighbourhood. Not knowing what to expect we were certainly pleasantly surprised. This is a very gorgeous restaurant the atmosphere is cozy and the building has a unique old fashioned charm. It is quite an upscale place, I would recommend dressing nicely. The servers here are sharply dressed and prompt... More

Make a reservation for this gem. It was my first time but I went with Regulars. They compare it the John Peel restaurant Brantford (now closed). This restaurant is all about traditions, quality ingredients and attention to detail. It is an experience - plan to spend a few hours and it will be expensive. They don't cut corners and you... I have been dining at Shakespeare's since they opened in 1969 and the experience that Franco insisted on back then is exactly the same today! For any special occasion, there is no place I would rather go than Shakespeare's! If you haven't been, give it a try and you will become a regular!

Returned to the Shakespeare's after 18 years. My wife and I had our wedding dinner here 18 years ago. We were both so happy to see things have not changed, as the food is unbeatable in taste, portion, presentation. I don't think the price has changed either, still very affordable. Beats any of the chain restaurants for steak and seafood... More

It was a great lunch at Shakespeare's, it was my first time there and it was a business lunch. The spinach salad was excellent to start and peppercorn steak had great flavour and was cooked a perfect medium rare like asked for. Server was very attentive and made sure our water and wine glasses weren't empty.

Thank Devilsteeth
