Not Michelin starred. This is somewhat greasy fish chips with a great selection of beer kind of place.

The Pilot House is a small pub with terrific atmosphere and very friendly service. They play great rock music but not loudly so it's a fun spot to meet up friends. The food, however, is all deep-fried and smothered in tinned gravy. I ordered a Cornish Pastie and it was greasy (as were the fries) and completely buried in gravy... More

This is the only place in town I will take Atlantic Canadians because even they will be impressed with the quality of the fish.

our family ate on the patio here in the summer after our pen tour visit. It was an average restaurant visit, the food was okay, nothing to rave about or make you want to go back for

One of the best fish and chips places you will find. Portions are large (choice of one or two pieces) and you have the choice of Halibut, Haddock or Cod (a little over a dollar difference in price - with Halibut being the best and cod the bottom feeder. Not many tourists and a good chance to observe locals enjoying... More

In Kingston visiting. I read many Trip Advisor reviews saying this was the best fish in Kingston. Decision made! Not so fast. I had cod, he had halibut. Less than ten minutes after ordering two slabs of fish that were obviously frozen ... I mean like frozen fish you buy at the grocery store...appeared. Both fish and coating pre-frozen. It... More

The Pilot House looks an attractive place from the outside and the inside is even better. Nice decor and layout on English pub style. Not an overly large place, but it didn't feel crowded at all. Good range of drinks and reasonably priced. Blackboard menu provided a good range of meal options as well. Settled for battered fish and chips... More

Took my parents for lunch. We all enjoyed the fish and chips, good sized portions. They loved the English pub atmosphere.
