We had the Gyozas and Tempura. The Gyozas were overcooked. Tempura was excellent but lacked a dipping sauce. Our main entrees were the Kalbi and Chicken Bulgobi. They were both very good. Good portions. The dining area is more suited for lunchtime crowds.Nothing fancy. Service was good. Overall the prices were reasonable. I would give it a "B".

I married into a Korean family and have had the privilege of visiting a couple times. Dolsot cafe is the best Ottawa has to offer for an authentic Korean restaurant. Whenever we visit I'm taken back in my memory to Korea and all the fun we had. The food and service there is great. We always eat there when feeling... More

Real, authentic Korean cuisine. Tastes as in Seoul! Highly recommended. Yummy kim- chi soup and wonderful chicken bul-go-gi. Also very good gyoza dumplings...

I've been going to this spot for years. It has always felt like being at a regular restaurant in Korea, food is always good, good portion size, good ingredients without the short cuts some places use and the staff is nice. And being able to grocery shop next door at Arum is great. I usually do both on one trip,... More

Great Korean food in a quiet café - food shop on Bank St in Centretown. I've enjoyed everything I have ever tried here and I've tried most items. I'm familiar with Korean food having visited Korea and eaten my way around the country. This spot has recently been slightly redecorated but the food remains as good as always

This is my favourite Korean restaurant in Ottawa so far. Nothing fancy, but everything is tasty and delicious. Kids love the place (some toys are available to play with while waiting on your order). The place is under new management and they've spruced up the place a little (front door is still a mess!) To note, the picture for the... More

Very causal restaurant; good selections on menu; food very family style and dye euros portion. Most main dishes come with rice and side dishes. We ordered the kimchi chimaera and beef shot ribs both were very delicious. We will definitely go back and try other dishes.

Dolsot is an old school Korean restaurant, attached to a Korean grocery store. The place is not fancy, and you could easily pass it by, but don't. It makes some delicious Korean dishes that are authentic. From bulkokee, and seafood omelette, to an amazing seafood hotpot, it is a delicious place to dine. Highly recommended if you are looking for... More

Not being a connoisseur of Korean food I cannot comment on the authenticity of the food. In addition to vegetable dumplings as an appetizer, the server/owner recommended 3 dishes, citing them as the most popular Korean dishes: bulgogi (thinly sliced marinated beef), bibimbap (rice with vegetables, beef, and egg), and japchaebap (transparent noodles with vegetables on rice). The beef dish... More

This is the third time l come here. Might not be the best korean food l ever had, however, it is still a authentic and not pretentious. If you want to eat Korean food , this is the best place to go. Other places make you pay a premium. This is the place for me. Many Koreans come here ...This... More
