Went to this place with a girlfriend on a weeknight before heading to the Bytowne for a movie. She ordered the oxtail platter and I had the Chicken Curry Roti. The roti looked fine but when I had my first bite, I was surprised at how delicious it was. The curry had great depth of flavour and there was a... More

In the shadow of the Rideau Centre on the Ottawa U side of the Canal and steps from Rideau street is a little gem of a quick serve Caribbean style food. There's a few tables to sit at but it's mainly a take-out restaurant. I tried the Goat Curry Roti (ordered spicy of course) and was impressed by the overall... More

The jerk chicken here is relatively good by comparison to some others in the city. I wouldn't recommend the roti, it's just not the real deal...the roti was not soft and fluffy and the flavor of the curry wasn't exactly what I expected. Overall, it's a decent restaurant.

I've long been of the opinion that Caribbean food is good for the soul, and this place lives up to that. I've now done takeout for lunch twice and both times I've been happy. Good prices for the chicken roti and chicken curry. The chicken curry is going to feed me for two days, as it comes with salad, perfectly... More

I know there are people who like this place, but they don't have a sense of customer service. A simple thing like asking for hot sauce on the side was turned down because YOU HAD TO ASK FOR IT WHEN YOU PLACED YOUR ORDER. Holy crap! You'd think a Caribbean restaurant would have a squeeze bottle always available! NEVER GOING... More

I ordered a vegetable roti. It was neat and awesomely delicious! My only complaint is that they only provide plastic utensils. The food cannot be easily cut with a wobbly knife. Bring your own fork and knife, or take-out.

One of my favourite places in Ottawa. The portions are great, the service is great, and the food is delicious. if you ask for extra spicy, they make sure it's spicy. My favourites have been the boneless jerk chicken roti and the oxtail dinner. A great price for what you get (rice, salad, and plantains), the servers are always incredibly... More

Went here based on very good TA reviews and a craving for great Caribbean food. It is a very unassuming hole-in-the-wall and you may just walk right past it if you're not watching for the place. Got the small jerk chicken which was just the right amount, but had I known how great it was going to be, I would... More
