I had the fish and chips, the portions were very good, but I found the batter on the fish a little too heavy for my liking. It was good, but I would only rate it average.

I can't say it was poor, but I can't rave about it either. It's fish and chips that are pretty average in quality.... but if you pick halibut... it's expensive! 2 pieces of halibut and chips..and a pop ran me almost $40. It was good fish.. but it cost plenty for the portion size. The service was quick and friendly.... More

Once again we went for supper... with a friend... to Cat's Fish & Chips. We were seated right away and the place was busy. It s not a big place but we just squeezed I to one of the last seats. We were served our drinks pretty fast and our order was taken at the time they delivered the drinks.... More

On our way to the aviation museum Stopped for lunch don't let the quirky exterior or decor fool you They're serious about fish and chips I ordered the beer battered haddock my wife ordered the breaded haddock both with chips(thick cut fries) and it also came with a possibly house made coleslaw as well as house made tartar sauce The... in the past few years I have been driving past this establishment and thinking one day I should really check it out, This past week my Mom and I were craving some good fish and decided to give this place a shot. Our first test is usually to see how fishy the smell inside the restaurant is- this one just... More

I had a fish and chips for lunch. I enjoyed eating on the patio. The homemade were over cook and it seems not homemade. I make better fries.. The fish was good.. My lunch was nice but a little bit pricey for it..

After listening to the radio ads I guess our expectations were too high for what we got. The service was slow & spotty, the food was bland and the décor was not great. As a local fish & chips shop it is OK, we drove cross town to " experience it " our mistake .

Stopped in for a quick lunch and wasn't disappointed. We ate on the balcony and had a view of the street and had a singer serenate us while we had delicious fish and chip. Parking is at a premium buy you can park on st-laurent blvd

This is not a fancy restaurant. It is small but quaint; I found that it had a Maritime feel to it. If you love fish and seafood you will find that this restaurant is a good option for you. Everything is fresh, there are alot of menu options and the service is very good. Thank you for reading my post.

Admittedly, I'm picky when it comes to fish and chips. The best I've ever had is still in England and the second best I think would be a place in Winnipeg. As I haven't found any place in Ottawa (yet) to be as good I don't know where I recommend but after trying Cat's today I'm still be looking. My... More

Cat's Fish and Chips is the "Little Blue House" that keeps everyone coming back. Cat's Fish and Chips, in both decor and cuisine is a little slice of East Coast life and could have very easily been plucked right from a Nova Scotian Harbour.
Cat's menu has something for everyone! Salmon, burgers, or a cajun chicken breast might be something for you.
