I have visited the Heart&Crown in several different locations throughout Ottawa. This location on Preston St, is always buzzing, with a good crowd and live music. Nice selection of beers and the pub grub is quite satisfying too

We had some time waiting for a friend to get home, so we walked over to the Heart & Crown for a drink or two, chat and watch some of the NFL games. What a great spot to relax and enjoy a cold one. It wasn't very busy, it was quiet enough for good conversation, and there were lots of... More

We were there for lunch and had their nachos, fish & chips, buffalo chicken tenders, beef stew and a chicken wrap with chowder. They were all very tasty. I love the cozy and relax feel of this pub.

good food (spicy chicken curry was excellent with just enough heat) but we were sitting at the bar and there was a peculiar and unpleasant odor when the dishwasher ran. But otherwise, good service.

Always clean and we'll run. Have been a few times recently and the other day had lunch with an Ottawa friend and we had a good time. Beer choice excellent and menu a bit above most pubs. I had a lunch special, crispy chicken wrap with Caesar salad and my friend had a regular burger. We both enjoyed our lunch

First time there. We waited 10 minutes for a table near the band but that wasn't a problem as that was our choice. The Maître D was very pleasant and attentive and even the other wait staff kept on eye on us. We were very well taken care of. The place was very busy all night long but we were... More

We booked the backroom September 24, 2016 for an 80th birthday party celebration. We were approximately 70 people. In May, we set out one Saturday to visit 4 different venues for the party. We went here first and we never went to see the other options as we were so warmly received at the Heart and Crown on Preston. We... More

Food was pretty good. I got the lamb burger. Poutine is good too in my opinion, though my "local" friends said it was a "mediocre" poutine. I have nothing to compare with, so I'd say is good :)

My wife and I had lunch just after 1 p.m. on a Monday, so the place was quiet. We had superb service, there was a wide variety of choices for both food and drink. I didn't like my daily-special sandwich, tho' my wife did, but I considered it an ambitious failure of design rather than a failure of execution. My... More
