Relatively modern interior design although tables were arranged a bit too close which could hamper movement around the dining room. Bar area is very nice... Food was ok. Rack of lamb was nice...good meat quality, cooked to ordered temperature and well seasoned. Bistecca was ok, nothing special striploin. Veal parmigiana was good, nice crisp crust and still nice and juicy.... More

Waiter was terrible and so was the food. Service was slow over 2 hours and it was not busy. Mussels were good the pasta dishes and salad was terrible, one of the pasta dishes was burned and we sent it back and ordered spaghetti with meat sauce and we were charged $25 for that. Nothing was taken off the bill... More

Been going here for 30 plus years but less often as I moved from Ottawa 10 years ago - always try to go at least once or twice a year and am never disappointed - food is still great - staff are super friendly and helpful and prices are not exorbitant when compared to others in Little Italy - La... This place is typically empty for a reason. The total bill came out to 120$ for three people and none of us ordered drinks or appetizers. My veal was cold and tasted like a microwave dinner plate. My spouse ordered his steak rare and received a leather boot instead. My MIL's pasta tasted like Campbell's cream of mushroom soup. Not... More

Our family has been operating La Roma for over 26 years and we work very hard to offer our clientele amazing, quality food using local and fresh ingredients. Our steaks come from a local farm (O’Brien Farms) and their products are wonderful. All of our sauces, dips, and desserts are made in-house and are not pre-packaged or prepared in any... More

I ordered their fried calamari an hour ago and it was bad! It was chewy and thin. Either it was overcooked or they left the calamari out to dry and then fried it, I have no clue but it was like rubber! Was so disappointed. That's all I was craving and it was such a let down.

we have been eating at this restaurant for over thirty years - it has gone from fine dining to just okay. my impression is that the prices have not gone up, instead the food selection has gone down scale. the food is good and the value is good, but it is no longer to be considered fine dining.

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to review our restaurant. I'm so pleased you have been dining with us for so many years. And although it is true we have been working to soften our image of being less 'fine dining' and more 'casual fine dining' our cuisine and ingredients are still of top quality. In fact, we... More

I visited La Roma in early July & I found the food to be excellent. I started with the fried zucchini which was lightly breaded & cooked just right. For the main course I had Lasagna which was full of flavour. I intended to have dessert, however I had no room left as I was full. Maybe next time. This... More

We were pleasantly welcomed and seated immediately out on the terrace. Disappointingly La Roma does not have a children's menu. The waitress took the time to ask the chef and the chef was very accommodating. The chef made my son chicken tenders and it was excellent tasting, real chicken, plenty of it, lightly breaded. We also ordered Lasagna, Spaghetti, Chicken... More

We ordered our main course at 7:45 PM. We received it at 9:15 PM. An hour and a half for pasta! My wife and I, one beer, one glass of wine, two bottles of Pellegrino water one appetizer and two pasta dishes, $145. The bottles of water were $8.00 each!! This water is $1.25 per bottle at Loblaw's. We've eaten... More
