Conveniently located in downtown St. Catharines we braved the blustery snowy day and were warmly greeted and shown to our table. Our waitress took our order of fish and chips. Since the Merchant Ale House is well known for its craft brews, we ordered a...More

Hubby & I popped in for a quick dinner enroute to the train station. We’ve been here plenty of times for drinks but had never had a meal. Man am I sorry we didn’t do so sooner!! The food was so fresh & super tasty!...More

Love the board, the salads are amazing. The basement is a neat step into the past, the drinks were cold. It's a little pricey for the lemoaide but I loved every sip.

Good beer selection and an inviting atmosphere. Menu has fair prices and tasty food. Weekends are busy but you can find a seat at the bar while you wait for a table or sit downstairs. Live entertainment is pretty good as well.
