Quaint little place selling seafood. The menu looks great but o. Stepping in the fish selection was limited (I wanted Pickerel but had to settle for Halibut). Tried the Fish Tacos... not bad for around 11CAD. But I prob would be happier going The Captain's Boil ahaha.

This charming tiny place is tucked away between fancy restaurants: It has 2 tables inside, a few outside. It has been there for a very long time, so it is the best kept secret of the neighborhood, very popular. They sell the fresh fish as well. Excellent quality, all fish rests on ice beds, no smell. Great selection of fish:... More

I dropped by here last Summer while walking through Little Italy in Toronto. It is a hole-in-the-wall but has seating outside for about 10 people. Pretty impressive selection of fish for such a small place. I had a fish sandwich with fries and slaw side and was not disappointed. Cheap enough for lunch and looked reasonable for a dinner, though... More

This place is really cute. You can order fish tacos, fish sandwiches, fish salad, fish soup. They have about 8 different fish to choose from. So you point at the fish and they will cook it for you. CASH ONLY. The only seating is outside on the patio. We got the fish sandwich and the fish tacos. I found that... More

My wife and I were out for lunch and wanted something quick, light and on a patio if possible. This place was just right. We had a fish sandwich as well as 4 fish tacos on their sidewalk patio. Both came with avocado at an extra charge it but was worth it. Food was prepared fresh and quickly. Woman behind... More

The night of a huge rain storm here in T.O we could not get home and needed to eat. Checked and found the The Fish Store and I was never so glad for rain before. The Fish Store has 17 different types of fish to start with so you can always find one that suits you. I went with the... More

Ok, so you can't really "dine in" since this dive is literally like a hole in the wall. There are two tiny tables jammed into a corner with plastic chairs. When the weather gets better they have some seating on the sidewalk. With all that being said, the food was so fresh, so delicious and worth every penny. Had fresh... More

People will tell you about this place and you will say "Oh, I'm not really into fish". You will walk past and think that it doesn't look like much and say to yourself, "another time" but you will still go to check it out....eventually. Then you will wonder why you didn't go before. Their fish sandwiches are amazing. Soft chewy... More

If you want a fancy ambiance this is not for you. But, if you want good, fresh fish grilled as you wait nicely spiced stuffed in a soft bun or served over red rice-this is the place for you. Strictly cash-no licence-you can sit on the few tables on the sidewalk or have a take-out.

People who know this place and like a flood fresh grilled fish sandwich come back for more. You don't go here to dine, you go for great take-out.

Staying in Little Italy

Neighbourhood Profile
Little Italy
Toronto's Little Italy is a city hotspot for cafe culture and nightlife. There's something for everyone in Little Italy, apparent from the cross-section of clubbers in glitzy dresses, and elderly couples arm-in-arm heading to their favorite wine or pasta spot. Cafes spill onto the wide sidewalks, pool lounges and bars are always teeming with noise and activity, and both outdoor and indoor marketplaces are packed with fresh fish, cured meats, and pungent cheeses. All of the activity makes it a perfect spot for people-watching, especially over a nice glass of red wine or a quick and sumptuous slice of pizza at one of the many eateries or trattorias in the area.
