Known for its wide variety of beers, and really just another trendy hangout good for the middle age crowd and those aspiring to be middle-aged. Food is all fat based and hard to find something healthy. Fries, calamari, and onion rings, and stuff like that. The only good thing about it is the patio that borders Lake Ontario - in... More

Quiet at lunch during the week. Service is excellent and food tasty but expensive. Parking downtown Oakville is a hassle and has to be paid for including street parking. We had a very enjoyable time with friends but you may wish to choose a restaurant with better value for your dollar.

Great little place with nice atmosphere. Food was very good and service was very friendly and reasonably priced. I would definitely go back. One small bit of constructive criticism however for the owners, the service felt just a little bit rushed. Got there at 8:00 and around 9:00 you can see the clean up process and staff starting to leave... More

Went for an early dinner so the place was fairly empty but it had filled up somewhat by the time we left, creating a better atmosphere. Our server was attentive without being pushy, and knowledgable, helping my wife with a suitable wine choice (which was excellent). We liked the menu options; we chose a larger tapas dish to share as... More

Went for lunch. handed a dirty menu. ordered ribs, which I could make better, house white wine was very expensive, flies surrounded our heads, windows had finger marks all over them. Who do these people think they are? I will never go back. Complete rip off. Stay away. lunch cost over 130$. forget it.

This place is awesome - the fries and many different ways they conceive and execute piquillos, are simply flavorful. They have the most incredible saffron cheesecake but just changed up their dessert menu replacing it with a not so flavorful chocolate cheesecake. Bring it back guys!

We were a party of four for a mid-week dinner. The place was pretty quiet so the service was attentive and the dishes arrived in good time. I love the tapas concept and with a Spanish wife I'm pretty familiar with most of the dishes on the menu. They did a pretty good job on most, and from what I've... More

Good atmosphere and service, but our party of six sampled a wide selection and the food was bland and the items to be served hot were merely warm. The paella was dry and tasted of nothing much. All in all, mediocre.

A favourite of ours but last night when we asked for a Pinot noir that we had previously by the glass, we were told they were not allowed to serve it by the glass. We were offered tastings of the two reds available, both thin and astringent, and settled for a mediocre merlot. I later asked for an unoaked Chardonnay... More

Service was pleasant, location was quiet and cozy. Food was prepared well, especially enjoyed the fish tacos. We ordered 7 dishes for two people which was a bit too much. I would suggest 5. Wine list was creative. Overall a nice leisurely evening meal.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
