Nice crowd, but the wait staff made a calculated decision to put the wrong drinks on the tab in the hopes that we wouldn't notice. When we did, the waitress resorted to insults and derogatory comments, ("listen to me, sweetheart, etc.") and refused to let me see the manager. When I did get a hold of a supervisor, I got... More

Made booking with them online, they called me few days later to confirm the booking. In fact I called them back to confirm back. Sent me confirmation mail. In the day of reservation I went there and they refused to acknowledge that booking was made. I showed them their email, referred them to their calls . But they pointedly refused... More

Came here to meet some old high school buddies and we all had a meal and some drinks while a DJ spun some old classics from the 80's. 90's and 00's. The meal was pretty good as were the apps. Unfortunately the place was dead, not sure why. Drinks were decent for Toronto pricing and we all had a good... More

Celebrating a friends 50th birthday. Service was painstakingly slow. Once mains finally arrived it is safe to say that the quality of food served is over-priced.

On a Friday in Mid November, my wife and I went to Alleycatz Restaurant for dinner. I had made a reservation for two so we were seated immediately upon arrival. The restaurant was almost full to capacity. A band was warming up by 9 PM to start playing by 9:30. I had ordered the Spaghetini that comes chicken and shrimp.... More

The people in service try, but it took over two hours to get entrees. We all had issues with our meals, over cooked largely, tough meat, microwaved vibe. If in the area go to Cibo. Way better for the price. The band needs a difibulator.

We went for dinner at this place last Friday and it was very nice!!! The food was very tasty and the service very good considering the place was packed. They had a live band playing a tribute to Prince, people dancing, which was very good. We had a great time. I would go back again!!!

An enjoyable 3 course meal with friends at AlleyCatz as part of their Summerlicious menu. The selections were excellent - including Chicken and Lamb and Beef, The Beet salad was great - everyone in out party of 7 enjoyed their meals. Disappointed by the lack of live music - we specially booked for a Thursday but no music and the... More

Staying in North End

Neighbourhood Profile
North End
The North End is a nucleus of specialty food restaurants and shops, especially around its Mount Pleasant Village area. Frequented by antiquers for its numerous collectable shops, furniture spots, and oddity stores, the North End is a maverick of the quaint and quality. Vintage toy stores, accessory shops, and cinemas welcome perusers to step back in time, while the wide pedestrian squares and the large medical and business community inject it with a dose of modernity. With numerous cafes and Toronto's greatest number of independent booksellers, it isn't uncommon to see folks in this area at their leisure, reading outdoors and in eateries, and taking life a bit more slowly – even if it's only during their lunch break.
