We had dinner at TOCA. On Friday evenings, they offer an Italian tasting menu. I highly recommend it. All kinds of pasta with different combinations-veggies, seafood. Absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it. Good value. Service was first class by our server and the sommelier.

This restaurant is a cut above the rest. The service was impeccable with a smile. The staff were fast and very helpfull. It is refreshing to see someone that knows it's product. May it be the food or the wine list. And talking about the food. Perfect is wath sum's it up. Every bite was perfect. The meat was cooked... More

The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Our waiter was also a certified sommelier so he provided us with awesome wine recommendations to match our food. The mains were bison tenderloin and pasta with lamb meatballs. Side was baked brussels sprouts. The bison was incredibly tender and has a hearty but subtle flavour. The service was extremely good. Finished with... More

We ate here on Feb 4 2017 as part of a large group, the Bistro table was booked for our entire party months in advance, with a 'special' menu and wine pairings... We went with a group of international friends who get together every few months somewhere in North America for a fine dining experience. We were excited as this... More

We highly recommend the Cheese Cave event for people interested in Cheese and wine pairings, and learning about them. The staff is attentive and energetic. We highly recommend it - just make sure you book in advance!

We enjoyed a very nice brunch complete with seafood (lobster, crab, shrimp, oysters etc),brilliant salads, delicious carvery station, sushi and dumplings, as well as eggs Benedict and other breakfast goodies and so much more! Everything was displayed beautifully and refreshed often. The stations are spread throughout the space so there are no lines or jammed up areas to contend with. The dessert room... More

I had two breakfasts and one lunch at TOCA. The restaurant is located inside the Ritz-Carlton so this is very convenient if you are staying at the hotel. The breakfast was very good (service too). The lunch menu is fairly reasonable in price and they serve mostly sandwiches. Overall a good place to have lunch / lunch meeting.

Better late than never; In October 2016 I reserved a private dining area at Toca Restaurant to celebrate a 60th birthday. The manager Tarun and his staff worked diligently and to the highest service standards to make the event a great success. The head chef Jitin, prepared a fantastic menu. I ordered an in-house made cake and it stands as... More

We went to Toca pre theatre at Royal Alex. The staff was great. The food was reasonable, maybe not as good as what was expected for a 4 star hotel. Our appetizer a caprese salad was onviously prepared ahead of time and refrigerated. The tomatoes were cold and had no flavour and the basil was dead, no flavour from being... More

I love this restaurant- however, new years eve was a little disorganised. Ali our server was great and took good care of us. Ensured that all our dietary restricts were noted. We are very thankful for that. The manager however, was really rude and did not address any of the issues we had that evening...it was disappointing. He had no... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
