Milagro is not a Tex-Mex joint. The menu leans heavily towards more traditional Mexican dishes Mole Poblano, Tinga De Pollo and Barbacoa Pachuca. You'll also find enchiladas, tostadas and tacos (soft shell). The food is good but not necessarily outstanding. I did enjoy the Tinga - more than enough pulled chicken to fill four soft shelled tortillas and plenty of... More

We had dinner and enjoyed the friendly efficient service. We started with Trio Bontenero which was delicious and filling. Thankfully we shared a meal of Zarandeados (octopus, shrimp and cod) that our server warned us was very spicy. A nice dinner in pleasant surroundings.

We eat here a couple times a year. This is the original location and quite small and noisy compared to their larger "Cantina" location downtown. The food is always good and fast. The tortilla chip and thick and crunch and the guacamole is chunky with a bit of a bite. They have a nice menus with a selection of different... More

Great for dinner on a Friday night with Good Friends. You really need to make a reservation as this place gets busy. The food was definitely authentic. The guacamole we had was fresh and homemade and so delicious! We each ordered some Ceviche to start and it was some of the best i've tried. I had the Burrito (chicken) and... More

My husband and I went to the midtown location and ordered from the Summerlicious 2016 menu. The margaritas were great and the food was so so fresh. The cuisine was quite authentic and ambiance very fun but not your stereotypical Mexican fiesta.

I'm normally on the fence about eating Mexican food outside of Mexico, but I was actually surprised by how good this place is. I love their Pescado Rodrigo, it so good and yet slightly unique. But the place does have an authentic feel about it and I can easily imagine it in Mexico. I plan to take my next guests... More

I rarely rate a restaurant 5 stars as this, for me, means the food is delicious, the service is outstanding and the cleanliness is superior. At El Milagro, all of my expectations were met and exceeded. We were immediately greeted and seated by a friendly server who seemed happy to be at work. He took our drink order and made... More

This is a fabulous little authentic Mexican spot. They are able to accommodate celiacs like me, and I have never had an issue there. Drinks are great. Fabulous value. Right across from subway exit. On a great walkable strip of Yonge Street.

We were walking past this place ... kind of watching the dinners outside. We got a few feet down the road, turned around and headed back. Could not resist the wonderful aromas and the look of the food presentations. So glad we did. We had the Tortas and they were excellent. The pickled vegetables were wonderful. Our service was prompt... More

Great food and service... Loved their drinks and got salsas. My 6 year old ate all her tacos. Fresh veggies and good Latin music.

Staying in North End

Neighbourhood Profile
North End
The North End is a nucleus of specialty food restaurants and shops, especially around its Mount Pleasant Village area. Frequented by antiquers for its numerous collectable shops, furniture spots, and oddity stores, the North End is a maverick of the quaint and quality. Vintage toy stores, accessory shops, and cinemas welcome perusers to step back in time, while the wide pedestrian squares and the large medical and business community inject it with a dose of modernity. With numerous cafes and Toronto's greatest number of independent booksellers, it isn't uncommon to see folks in this area at their leisure, reading outdoors and in eateries, and taking life a bit more slowly – even if it's only during their lunch break.
