Doesnt look like much from the outside ... BUT once inside it's a great place to dine. Very roomy. Friendly staff. Not crowded. Varied menu. Tasty, generous servings. Quick service. Reasonable priced. I had spare ribs: delicious. My companion had chicken ... yummy .. and plentiful. Popular with local officer workers at lunch. I'd easily to back.

One of our favourite restaurants in Toronto and our go-to place to take guests who come from out of town. The speciality soup dumplings are AMAZING as are nearly every dish we try. The pot stickers, noodles with beef, chicken, slow cooked pork belly, yummmm!

We had supper here and the food is very good. The decor is very pleasant and the whole place looks very clean and it smells good. They need to focus on thier service quality for the little things. Bring all the drinks at the same time, not 5 minutes apart. Remove used dirty plates. Remember to bring all of the... More

It's a legit Shanghai style restaurant with fair price. We ordered around 8 dishes and it only cost us 66 Ca$. Expected to have some Taiwanese style dishes there.

Went here for dinner with my niece. She found the restaurant on Google, chose it because of its proximity to my hotel. The ambiance was nice, and allowed us to have a nice conversation. The menu selections were interesting, not the usual. We both had a noodle dish, hers friend, mine in soup. Both meals were served quickly, were tasty... More

The food quality remains as was. The quantity per serving has dropped drastically. You may visit at your own peril as the Manager is rude. Takes the fun out of the eveing, espeically if you are taking guests along. Appears she is doing us a favour. In our case she fussed so much over a plate of rice that we... More

To be honest, we only ended up here because other restaurants in the area had an hour long wait to be seated. We were seated immediately. Food was ready quickly and was really good. We had the spring rolls, wonton, ginger shrimp and general tso chicken. The main courses were very big portions. The shrimps were huge! Really loved the... More

This is not your typical Chinese place, you'll find all your favourites on the menu but it's a cut above. Although the prices are not that much more so head in for an affordable meal - this is an excellent place for groups. Its greatest strength is the decor, contemporary and clean (lines and actually spotlessly clean). Notice though that... More

I had been searching for an alternative to the Asian restaurants I usually frequent, looking for something close, but more casual. I noticed Lee Chen when visiting the Reference Library across the street on Yonge and decided to give it a try. The weather was not great so I opted to get takeout and while everyone was great at the... More

Was disappointed by the quality and taste of the food. There are a lot better choices in Toronto for quality Asian food. The General Tso chicken tasted totally different than I have ever had in any Chinese restaurant. And not in a positive way.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
