The food at this place is ok but the biggest complain is the owner who is extremely rude and unprofessional Very bad attitude .... Not planning to go back any time soon There are better Peruvian restaurants and with much better customer service

Incredible business function with my colleagues. I was recommended by a fellow Peruvian, who swears this place was authentic and classy. He was right. The seafood dishes and the wonderful sangria were simply delicious. Good work El Plebeyo.

This restaurant is an embarrassment for the peruvian cuisine and for the peruvian people, is a dirty place, the vents are full of grease, the food is nothing as authentic and the place needs a lot of up gratings, I had anticuchos and ceviche and I ended in the hospital because something was very wrong with the food. I don't... More

We tried to dine here last night. Appetizers were pumped out very quickly. The service went downhill fast after that. We ordered our entrees and the waiter was clear on what we wanted, even commenting on our choices. He went into the kitchen and we never saw him again. Nobody came out to check on us until the owners son... More

We ate here on the recommendation of a Peruvian acquaintance. The food was excellent, the service friendly and informative. Our host would have liked to serve Peruvian wine with our meal but the Liquor Control Board of Ontario does not import Peruvian wines. We think that people dining here will enjoy the exotic flavors and the beautiful presentations. For the... More

My wife and I consider this one of our all time favorite places to eat, the service is excellent and the food is amazing, always fresh and delicious. The drinks are generous, and the wines are well paired. The menu has something for everyone. I have never been disappointed at El Plebeyo

We try to go to this restaurant at least every few months. The food, the owner and atmosphere are fantastic. Make sure to try his Sangria its addictive. We get few mains and a lot of appetizers and share them so we could taste many things. Seafood soup is my favourite. I am salivating everytime we book it for dinner.... More

We had a group of 7 their for dinner and drinks. Most of them from Peru, and they loved the food. We started will Pisco Sours to drink and 4 different appettizers. The drinks were amazing, Pisco Sours are my favorite drink. But consider yourself warned, careful how many you drink. The Ceviche was very good, true Peruvian style. Also... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
