Food was OK. I had the salmon. It was a fair size. The shrimp appetizer was the best thing I had there. The calamari were OK but not great. This is the only restaurant I've ever gone to that did not give us water. I was dying of thirst when I left. Don't think I would go back.

This restaurant reminded us of our trip to Portugal. It serves authentic Portuguese dishes starting with delicious free appetizers. There is a wide array of fish and meat dishes and our party enjoyed a combination of halibut, snapper and BBQ chicken. We ended with the yummiest of Portuguese custard tarts. The atmosphere is wonderful and the music was great. It... More

Enjoy the food and forget about location, noise level or décor, this place has some of the BEST FOOD in Toronto. My wife had salmon and my plate was grouper. Portions are large and no scrimping on type and amount of vegetables with the meal. I can not say enough about the quality of the meals that we have eaten... More

My family enjoys the food. The selection is good and the food is tasty and fresh. However I'm over restaurants that have huge television sets throughout the restaurant. I find them distracting and take away from experiencing a nice evening out. There are several television sets throughout the restaurant and when we there they were airing Portuguese programs. There is... More

There were ten of us when we arrived, and when we decided to leave we walked out feeling like 12. The food was great, about 3 minutes after our meals were placed on the table everyone was sampling everyone else's meals. Highly recommend "beef a'casa" 10 oz steak dinner , you might even have enough left for lunch the next... More

Having never been and not knowing what to expect at this midtown location sort of tucked behind a big box store, it took a second or two to find, but tons of free parking. Upon entering, we see that it's totally full and the reserved table we had took about 10 to 15 minutes to be set, but well worth... More

We been in this restaurant for the 1st time in December and it was a great experience. The food is soooo good there and they had a guy called (Reno) singing there, it was just amazing. We loved it. We also loved the fact that the owner comes to the tables and talks to us. A place to go back... More

Staying in York-Crosstown

Neighbourhood Profile
York-Crosstown is a sleepy area of Toronto dotted gorgeously with hills and farmland, stately homes and parks. An affluent district in parts, the stately houses at Baby Point along Jane Street are especially breathtaking, and make for a lovely wander on a clear day. Parks are bountiful in York-Crosstown, which makes it a vibrant area for outdoor play and sports, providing a break from the hustle of Toronto's busy, jam-packed city center. For a little spice after a walk in the park, the Little Jamaica area of York sports cheap, authentic food from the Caribbean. This area is restful and more orientated towards outdoor activity and the exploration of nature.
