The food is average. It didn't wow me and is not authentic. Food was a bit too mushy and all flavors blended together.

We travel to Mexico multiple times each year and the food offered at Mexico Lindo is the most traditionally accurate Mexican Food north of the "Wall"

We arrived after 6 p.m. on a Friday night and the place was busy but we were seated immediately. The restaurant has a warm family friendly vibe. There were tables with couples and tables with families with children. You get the feeling that many of the patrons are regulars here. It is a warm cozy restaurant with friendly staff. We... More

My boyfriend and I love this place! I always get the Tabasco and am never disappointed. There is another location as well in Scarborough but this one I prefer as it has more of a sit down restaurant feel where the other location is more of a take out even though they have a few tables available.

Went on Good Friday with visiting friends. Mexico Lindo is a local restaurant for me and I'll be going back. The food was very good and reasonable portion sizes. The service was good, The highlight was the margaritas. So good that we ordered a second pitcher.

Family friendly. Really great food. We arrived for our reservation but still waited 20 min. The restaurant was extremely busy with one person doing it all - seating, waiting and bussing all the tables. As a result the waits were long, the service hurried, but the food was great.

This is great value and good tasty food but the general surroundings feel a bit spartan. Maybe we caught it too early of an evening and the restaurant needs to be a bit fuller to generate more of a buzz. Comprehensive menu with all the Mexican & Tex-Mex classics and helpful service, run by the family owners up here in... More

We went to Mexico Lindo on a week night. There were a few people in the restaurant but not overly busy! Be sure to check the daily specials. We shared an appetizer and meal. Both were fantastic. Highly recommend the Shrimp in garlic and white wine. I will, definitely, return!!!

Had dinner recently with family including children. Restaurant was not busy when we arrived but picked up very quickly. They had minimal wait staff who struggled to keep up with service. As a result it took a while to receive our orders. Two of us had to wait several minutes to receive our food after everyone else had been served.... More

The service is friendly and the food is excellent. Everything on the menu is handmade and homemade. Considering its Leaside location, it really does qualify as a hidden gem. If you live anywhere near Bayview and Eglinton this place has to be your local Mexican joint!

Staying in East York

Neighbourhood Profile
East York
East York includes a portion of old, industrial Toronto. Densely populated but incredibly safe, it boasts some of the city's earliest gardens and gardening clubs, attracting green thumbs everywhere. The tranquility of the Don Valley River area, which is rich with Toronto's oldest and tallest forests, is supplemented by the large ensemble of authentic and refurbished Edwardian homes, giving parts of East York allure. The other draw is for foodies: lovers of Bangladeshi fare will find authentic restaurants and markets in the area, with raw spices and desserts. East York also represents a lot of Toronto's Serbian food culture, and recently, has had an outcropping of solid microbrewery stops. For families, the science center is a favored weekend stop.
