During my last trip, I have visited Stack. Reading all the great reviews, spending a week in Kentucky (supposed to be the home of BBQ) made me curious. I am not a fan of ribs but I must say that this was the best rib I have ever had in my life. I actually made me rethink my opinion about... More

So I went for lunch and sat at the bar....I had read that you should do the Parmesan fries, so I indulged....the taste was good, but you know you are eating yourself to a slow death with these fries (tossed and kinda wet and not just dry sprinkled). I thought the ribs were the star attraction. I had brisket too,... More

Great informal place for meat lovers. We had a group of 10 people who love BBQ and all were enjoying the food eg meat, and the noisy clatter of servers and clients having a good time. Great for friends to get together, talk about everything and laugh. Our server was amazing and fun. Just right tempo.

Had the occasion to have dinner here on a Saturday evening. Very busy and as a result the service or should I say wait time was very long to receive our meals once ordered. Our server was great, keeping us informed as to our order and providing recommendations. Menu prices are reasonable but not in relation to portion size which... More

Loved his resturant! Greeted at the front door immediately by friendly staff and seated quickly. So clean just spotless which is great to see. We were again greeted quickly by our server and orders were taken. We enjoyed everything from oreo milkshake to ribs and burgers . The food was fabulous. So filling. The baked beans were great as well... More

Fantastic Atmosphere. Fantastic food. Recommend the Platter for 3-5 people. My only complaint is that the chicken was a little tough and rubbery. Otherwise, great fall off the bone ribs, pulled pork, and brisket. Will definitely return in the future. Make a reservation in advance to save the headache of waiting during peak times.

The good: the brisket is so tasty! Delicious flavour -- no knife needed, as it falls apart with a fork. The bad: I've been three times now (had the same thing each time) and each time the garlic mashed potatoes are stone-cold. Pretty disappointing because they (I think) have a nice flavour. Problem is: waitress #1 took our order --... More

An excellent place for family and friends. The main dishes are slow cooked beef sweet and delicious The no beef items include fish and chicken and the Parmesan flies are to die for. So put the diet aside and enjoy the protein overdose.

The food is great we had the plate and it was wonderful to get a taste of everything. I have never seen ribs that fall off the bone like that. Only thing is we would ask if the sauce is hot or not ...we don't do hot

We live near Stack and eat there regularly. Food is always good and consistent. Staff have always been friendly. We always go to Stack when friends and family visit. The Parmesan fries are a must have!!

Staying in North End

Neighbourhood Profile
North End
The North End is a nucleus of specialty food restaurants and shops, especially around its Mount Pleasant Village area. Frequented by antiquers for its numerous collectable shops, furniture spots, and oddity stores, the North End is a maverick of the quaint and quality. Vintage toy stores, accessory shops, and cinemas welcome perusers to step back in time, while the wide pedestrian squares and the large medical and business community inject it with a dose of modernity. With numerous cafes and Toronto's greatest number of independent booksellers, it isn't uncommon to see folks in this area at their leisure, reading outdoors and in eateries, and taking life a bit more slowly – even if it's only during their lunch break.
