This pub had a great atmosphere. The menu had a lot of choice I went for the firkin burger which was delicious. Lots of TVs to watch the sport.

Was ok customer service at the beginning. Not great but ok. Then just got worse and worse until the end when we considered walking out without paying because we figured the waitress wouldn't have noticed. We did pay though but will likely not go back again.

We popped in here for a drink while walking down Yonge and were warmly greeted with a smile and an offer of numerous draft beers. What's not to like?

Nice, small pub across the street from the Eaton Centre (East side of Yonge St). Perfect place to grab a pint for a quiet shopping break...and at a reasonable price, including $5/6 Craft Beer pints. Google "Firken Group of Pubs" for daily specials all day at this location and many others in Toronto ( look for "Bevvies and Bites" specials).... More

Recently visited the Firkin on Yonge on a Friday night before going to Massey Hall. The Firkin was full (standing room only upon entry). Was advised by the hostess the wait would be approximately 20 minutes, my friend and I decided to wait & have a drink while waiting. During the wait, my friend and I struck up a conversation... I had fish and chips, with a ginger ale soda. The fish batter was chewy, and the fish appeared to have spent sometime in a freezer, perhaps longer than it's best before date. The french fries were undercooked. The soda flat and tasteless. Take a pass on this establishment.

If you're on Yonge you've gotta at least stop in and enjoy one of your favorite beverages 🍷🍸🍹🍺 While there we were told to not venture any farther down Yonge (opposite Dundas / Yonge direction) cause lol the scenery isn't going to get "better". Thanks for warning 😉😊

We walked in and a note was posted to seat yourself, so we searched for a booth but every available booth was dirty. The servers walked right by us and we finally had to ask the bartender to clear a table. The bartender was very pleasant, she cleared a table and provided us with menus. About 15 min later a... Great Place. Went there upstairs for a retirement party for a friend. It was the coldest evening of the winter. This place was hustle and bustle. A tad noisy upstairs but fun. The waitresses were working fast and efficiently. Drinks were served efficiently and quickly. House wine was excellent.. Better be for $10. and I ordered a Turkey Burger.. $14.... More

Went to the Firken on Yonge street this week for a farewell party. Was upstairs in the lounge. Was great. Had a wonderful waitress who took care of us. Wonderful staff and service was great. It is a pub and has good drinks at an affordable price. The food is good. Nice place to get together with friends or colleagues.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
