The selection is small for lunch, not sure how extensive the menu is, but the waitress was very nice and understanding, we had stepped out of a meeting for a quick bite and shared the fish and chips. The fish was very bland and a bit oily for my liking, but some people enjoy that, decent beer selection.

In town from New Orleans for a friend's daughter's wedding. Did a cyber-scan and came up with the Oxley. It was just as I hoped, warm & cozy atmosphere, excellent and large beers, and a robust burger & fries (along with many other items). I had a lot of outstanding fancy food (3 dinners, 2 breakfasts, 1 lunch) associated with... More

The atmosphere of this place is great; nice seating, good bar area! The food is delicious. The menu is pretty British, but with interesting takes and additions to the plate.

Met a GF for lunch today and we decided on a windy, rainy day, we wanted comfort food. I had never tried The Oxley, although walk by it frequently when I walk my chi, my grown kids go there when they visit. My friend and I ended up on the second floor for a long catch up after the holidays... More

Came here after a local dinner on a quiet Monday after NYE and was surprised at how busy it was. Lovely relaxed atmosphere in upstairs bar; knowledgeable but not intrusive bar staff and decent selection of gins (with some local ones that's always good to know)

If you are in Yorkville do yourself a favour and drop into the Oxley for a drink. I am usually a wine or beer drinker but the cocktails here are superb. No bar mixes or shortcuts. Hand crafted . My favourite is the Monarch - a gin, lime , coriander concoction which is amazing. Busy place but you can usually... More

A classic pub in a lovely old townhouse, The Oxley is a welcome newcomer in Yorkville. A solid pub menu - my brother loved the fish and chips - but with healthy options as well. The deserts were so-so - the Sticky Toffee Pudding was cloyingly sweet but a more interesting choice than the Raspberry tart (that was low on... More

My personal Yorkville favorite! A welcome addition to the neighborhood! Fantastic cuisine along with a good selection of beer and wine makes for a great spot to bring family and friends. If youre not into a truly classic pub atmosphere try the back patio during the summer. Always good and never disappointing.

Went to The Oxley twice in November- one dinner, one lunch. Both times service was pleasant and meals were very good. Somehow my Friday dinner reservation got lost, but, they found us a table very quickly even though it was busy.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
