This review is in the context of me having lots of allergies (soy, gluten, peanuts, eggs, milk), which makes it hard to eat out, especially asian food. I went here by chance, and was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness and knowledge of the owner, who put great effort into finding allergy friendly foods I could eat, telling me about how... Tl;dr: Absurd random price hikes by the owner, several strict rules for a supposed "buffet", the owner constantly monitors at you during your entire stay (to make sure you don't steal??), no free tap water, and stale food. I had high hopes of finding an affordable buffet, but instead I found a super stingy owner running a militant restaurant. The... More

Tucked away in a large strip mall, Bean Sprout is a small place. It's fairly clean and staff are friendly. Take out small container $7 and large one $8 - go to the counter and fill up with whatever you want. $10 buffet lunch and $11 buffet dinner. If paying by credit card there is an extra charge (I think... More

I have been going to this restaurant for several years now and it is the best Chinese food in the area that's for sure. The staff is always very welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere is clean and decent. Definitely a great find and great price as well! Can't beat that. It's a great place for lunch and even dinner as... More

My favorite place for Chinese takeout. It has a buffet concept - you put what you want in your plate/container and then pay fixed price. Try their soup (was free - now 0.75$ extra)! The chef works hard; the place has people so the food is fresh!

This little shop is hidden in the Victoria Terrace plaza. There are many "regulars" that come for the great deals. Take out is $6.99 and you can fill your container with anything from the buffet! Dine-in is $8.99 or $9.99 for lunch and dinner respectively. Although it is a "mini-buffet", there is a bit of selection considering the price. There... More

I LOVE this little restaurant! The food is FANTASTIC and so are the people who run it! Super friendly. The food is really flavourful and well-spiced. Although you don't go to this restaurant for the ambiance, it is great to be able to watch your food being cooked. The Bean Sprout is all about the food, the people, and the... More
