Just like the caption says Rock Lobster is an informal bistro with a nice sunny patio that serves real Nova Scotia lobster in a buttered roll $20 and Mac and cheese and lobster as well. Lots of other interesting seafood items on the menu as well. Located 538 queen west Toronto.

Had been there before and enjoyed it but the food is not as good anymore, did not like menu selection. Server was off borderline rude but disinterested and inattentive.

As a maritime rescue, I am fussy about my lobster. This stuff was the mushy canned type but out here the good stuff is hard to get. My kid however loved his fried chicken on a waffle.

Very cool spot in the Ossington neighbourhood. The lobster rolls are great and you HAVE to try the famous Rock Lobster Cesar.. Sooo goood!

My husband and I ended up here for a late night snack. He was very excited to try the lobster rolls as he loved eating lobster while traveling to Halifax. This was our first time at this restaurant, and I am uncertain if I would return. The bread had so much butter on it that it was actually difficult to... More

We tried this as a different option. The pork belly was crispy and super sweet but was paired perfectly with brussel sprouts - the bitterness of them made the dish complete (I'm not normally a fan of brussel sprouts). We tried the crab and shrimp jerk - it was tasty, the shrimp over cooked, the crab small and fussy but... More

The food is mediocre and not worth it. The service is poor. The server we had was somewhat bullying and not very attentive.

Very nice restaurant in a hip neighbourhood. Ordered lobster poutine and tried other dishes from my friends' plates. Everything was so delicious! Also the price was reasonable for the quality and flavour. The ambiance inside and customer service was amazing too.

Given the number of wonderful restaurants in TO Rock Lobster falls flat of impressive. The food was bland and cold. The service was friendly. Spend your money elsewhere.

Everytime my husband and I are craving seafood this is our go-to place. Their seafood tower comes full of delectable, firm, fresh shrimp, oysters, crab and lobster - and all for a very reasonable price. If you're looking to get some quality seafood in this city - this is the place to go.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
