Wow, after running the streets of Toronto on business, being dead tired and frozen stiff, I was delighted to rest my weary, frozen bones at this sweet little spot. It's warm and cozy, and quite popular from the number of occupied tables I observed, but definitely not fancy (my seat cushion was pretty worn). That said, what they lack in... More

The Pub is located below the Strathcona Hotel. The staff are friendly and the pint of Guiness very tasty. There are a number of TVs to watch any sports event or if you are into a game of pool there are a few pool tables as well. Nice place to chill.

Food nothing to write home about. Just your average pub food that's soggy and tasteless! Server seemed run off her feet even though there were only a handful of people in the pub and was another server present. Beer was cold.

Found this great little place after attending Fan Expo 2016. Great ambience - a nice hidden gem of a pub! Staff were great; very genuine and friendly. Food was very good with a decent portion and reasonably priced. Poutine is listed as an appetizer but really is a meal in itself. Certainly will go back next time we're in the... More

Stopped in after an afternoon Blue Jays game and enjoyed the atmosphere and all the sports TVs on the wall. Staff were excellent.

I used to frequent this quaint cellar pub when I worked downtown years ago. We were at an afternoon Blue Jay's game and afterwards were looking for a quieter, not-so-trendy place for a beer and a bite. Somewhat to my surprise, The Pub was still there, with a few décor updates and the same "Cheers" style atmosphere that I remember.... More

All I've eaten here was the roast beef on Tuesday night. The veggies with it were awesome, the potatoes were great and so was the roast beef. I'd eat here again!

This place is attached to a hotel but it appears that locals frequent it too. Good basic pub food at a very reasonable price.

I was here for a very late dinner (I arrived just 20 minutes before the kitchen was to close). The food was good and hearty, as one would expect in a pub. The apple dessert was delicious. Several TV's in view, but not too loud. The service was very prompt and friendly. The entryway almost made me pass this one... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
