Excellent. Must have reservation. Very small. It is noisy and not too fast, worth waiting for. Not spicy, depending what you order.

The food was really disappointing. We ate both breakfast and dinner at Epic. Usually we avoid hotel dining rooms but after the wonderful dinners we had at Fairmont properties in Quebec we decided to give Epic a try. We will not go back. There are too many other great places to eat in Toronto.

We were staying at the Fairmont, room only basis. We decided to have breakfast before checking out, in the Epic restaurant. We decided to go for buffet as opposed to à la carte. And what a great choice that was! The staff bring you coffee and juice to you table and then direct you to where everything is (and I... More

Fabulous flavor! Outstanding service! On the pricey side, so bring your wallet. Drinks & an appy will be an easy $70 for two.

I went here for a quick breakfast and it exceeded expectations. The Eggs Benedict was fantastic and the service was also.

We always stay at the Royal when in Toronto, but only in December did we eat at Epic. It is excellent and a perfect way to start the day . Great service, relaxing, and excellent coffee!

What a great breakfast buffet. One of the best. Made to order items including omelets, eggs Benedict and more. Pastries were delicious. Excellent selection.

We visited this restaurant and were pleasantly surprised to see such a 'different ' menu from the usual North American fare. No disrespect but I get fed up with the same old menus offered inNorth American establishments We started with Scallops for my wife and foie gras for me - both excellant The main was duck for me and my... The prices are higher and the quality decent. Not a huge selection of cocktails. Food was decent. It's not a bad place to go just nothing exceptional.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
