We were looking forward to a night out in Toronto with good food and wine and had heard and read that Jump was a great place to dine. Unfortunately for us the restaurant was very loud when we arrived because it was dominated by a large group of ten celebrating some occasion. We asked to be moved away from them... More

This is probably one of the best restaurants in Toronto. The service is impeccable and the food is always delicious and catered to your liking. They always remember us and you are treated like royalty with every visit. It is comfortable, and cozy. The mushroom soup is a must have, as is the beet salad. The mains are always well... More

This is one of the best places for a business lunch in the financial district. It's rude to take pictures during business meetings but that's so sad because few of these pictures do their playing justice. I've eaten here every six months for years and today I remember why their mushroom soup is so famous and I had a light... More

This was a great restaurant. Staff was attentive but not bothersome. The food was very good, very well prepared. I had the Tuna Tataki and the Fogo Island Cod & Beetroot Risotto. Wife had the soup of the day (Roasted Yam) and the Lobster & Prawn Pot Pie For dessert, we share a Flourless S’mores Terrine WOW!!! What great food.... More

We went for a family dinner on a cold quiet Monday evening. I was in Canada to celebrate my brother's 60th birthday and we were joined by my sister who had flown in from Sydney. We couldn't have been made to feel more welcome and the food was excellent. The service was even better and every staff member seemed determined... More

I use winterlicious to try new restaurants. I walk by Jump often but have never been. I think O&B have figured out the ideal approach to winterlicious. First they had enough options so I didn't feel like I was settling for one of the courses (also they were varied & interesting), second (and most important) I didn't feel rushed. Often... More

I took my girlfriend here for winterlicious and the food and service was terrific. The atmosphere was eclectic and the dinner menu had more choice then a typical prix fixe Winterlicious menus in other restaurants. I would definitely go there again.

I titled it "Casual Business Lunch", but this restaurant is very suitable for any social setting - business or personal. Seating is comfortable, and while it is a bit noisy in the restaurant, you can still easily have a conversation. The service is excellent. Food was delicious and portions were just right. And while I didn't pay for lunch (lucky... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
