Closed. I went by last night for dinner but they were repossessed by the landlord... There is a huge sign in the front window "for lease". I don't think they will be open again !

I stopped in with a friend for a pre-show Indian buffet dinner. I wish I'd listened to the negative reviews and gone to any one of the nearby restaurants instead, but we both love Indian food and were craving it. We sampled a range of vegetarian and meat dishes and were terribly disappointed as the food was bland and tasted... More

Tried the buffet and left feeling disappointed. For the price ($16.50/adult), the value was OK, but we would have been willing to pay a bit more for a larger selection of food. What was there was tasty (if you have an interest in Indian food), but some dishes were only luke warm. There was a very small selection of meals... More

A cozy but spacious establishment, offering northern Indian foods, with all the interesting sauces. I found the lighting in this restaurant to be bright enough without being overly bright, & the price was reasonable; $19.00 per person, including special warm naan bread & dessert. It Is located near Royal Alex Theater,a few door west of Simcoe Street, on north side... More

The Indian cuisine is great at this place. Enjoyed the buffet offered to us as we visited in group of 36 people. It was good to eat tasty Indian food after long time.

I was planning to take my daughter here for a special dinner. I read the Trip advisor notes on it and I decided it would not be special enough for my daughter. I came back to test for myself. a very large facility with a less than impressive buffet bar. I chose to order off the menu. No mulligatawny soup.... More

When walking on King West and are considering Indian, never mind. Visiting Toronto and wanting a unique Indian experience go to Coxwell and Gerrard and enjoy Little India.

Kama is pretty much your run-of-the-mill Indian dinner buffet, although it does have a bit more variety than you see at some places. It does not stand out, but it hits the right notes when you're looking for a place to eat before a show - it's a buffet, so you're never sitting around waiting for your food.

This used to be the go-to place for Indian food in the theater district, but it is very tired now, and selection is miserable. They literally had 4 kinds of meat curri3es and 4 kinds of vegetarian stuff for dinner. The stuff they did have (mutton, butter chicken etc.) was actually OK, but again, there's very little choice. They do... More

We had earlier visited Kama Restaurant in Dec 2015 and found it be quite an ordinary indian buffet. However, based on my friend’s suggestion, we went ahead and bought two groupons of them in June 2016. We selected the option of "One Lunch Buffet for Two People and Two Non-Alcoholic Drinks Valid Thursday-Sunday" for $20. Our first visit in Sept... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
