Had an urge to have some Indian food so we checked out this place. The ambiance reminded me of a place we once visited in India so they nailed it in terms of the setting. The buffet did have a nice selection (for both a vegetarian and a meat lover alike) of tikkas n masalas. But the food wasn't as... More

Frequent there often as it is not far from home. Classic Indian cuisine from different regions of the country. Fewer items than your typical buffet but fewer items like 12 or so done better than doing 50 items at half the effort. Staff are always polite and courteous and prompt cleaning off the table and getting you whatever you need.... More

Booked a party for 50 people; paid more than the regular menu price and was treated really badly, It is a run down dump. No proper glasses for drinks; meat was hard, chicken had blood and vegetable tasteless. Overall dirty and a big disappointment.

Went to have dinner today and got an unexpected answer by owner (Shamim) when I asked about halal certificate. I asked him to show us the halal certificate before we place any order, he said certificate is not available as he does not know where his manager has kept it! waiter said, it might be at home! Also, they were... More

I hosted a Retirement Party for my Dad here and the service, food and atmosphere was great. The buffet was really good, especially the naan bread. I would definitely recommend this place for a party or for a meal as the food, price and service was very nice. They gave us a private section and were very welcoming. I think... More

Stopped by for dinner. The buffet provided excellent choice of Indian food which was good to excellent. The service was attentive. We have not eaten at this restaurant in years and found it to be a good experience and excellent value for the money.

Staying in Scarborough

Neighbourhood Profile
Situated astride Lake Ontario, Scarborough is a district heavily influenced by immigration. With a number of low-rent shopping and dining options making it a highly affordable part of town, and boasting one of Toronto's largest shopping malls, the otherwise green suburban neighborhood is a good place to go for bargains and discounts. It also draws in photographers. The spires, archways, and cavernous rooms of the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Palace are filled with breathtaking art, architecture, and detailed reliefs – it’s like entering a different world, The ruins of columns and installation art at the Guild Inn makes a free-for-all exploration site, while the big-name draw for young photographers is the menagerie at the Toronto Zoo. While many visitors shirk Scarborough as too suburban, its houses are some of Toronto's most mystical and haunting architectural beauties. And for adventure lovers, it has river-rafting and some unique hiking trails.
